Mirim Lee turned pro in 2009 and played on the KLPGA's developmental tour. In 2010, she graduated to the regular Korean LPGA and finished 40th on the money list that season, with her best finish a T-9th.
After a decent start to 2011, Lee won the S-OIL Champions for her first victory. It was her only win of the year, but she also had a runner-up finish at the Hite Cup and finished 13th on the money list.
2012 Notes: Lee won the Korean Women's Open, outlasting both Ha Neul Kim and Hye Youn Kim in the final round to claim her first major title. She also had a runner-up finish in May and five other top 10s. She finished 7th on the 2012 money list with nearly 287 million won ($258,397). She also played in the Evian Masters, where she had her best LPGA finish to that point, T-24th.
2013 Notes: Lee focused on earning a tour card for the LPGA, but still played on the KLPGA tour. Her best week was at the KG EDaily Ladies Open in April where she won after chipping in a birdie on the 17th hole in the final round to win by a shot. Another highlight was finishing 4th in defense of her Korean Women's Open title. In the second half of the year, she focused on Qualifying School where she finished 2nd at 19 under, shooting an all-time record 61 in round three in the process, earning her full status LPGA tour card for 2014.
2014 Notes: Lee was 14th on the LPGA money list with $933,849 as a rookie and 39th in CME points. She made 20 cuts in 24 starts and won twice with four top 10s. Her first victory was in a playoff at the Meijer Classic in Grand Rapids, when she beat Inbee Park on the second extra hole after they had tied at 14-under 270. She got her second title at the Reignwood LPGA Classic in China, shooting in a final-round 69 in windy conditions to surpass third-round leader Stacy Lewis. Lee finished at 15-under 277 to beat Caroline Hedwall by two shots. She was T-2nd at the Founders Cup, one stroke back of winner Karrie Webb.

Lee also finished T-5th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. She wasn't able to defend her Meijer Classic title, withdrawing due to a left wrist injury. She took a couple of weeks off and it got better, but after that only had one top-10, a T-9th at the Keb-HanaBank Championship.
2016 Notes: She played in 24 LPGA events making 18 cuts with 6 top-tens.
