Andres Gonzales

Got his start in golf from his mother. Grew up playing junior golf with fellow professional Michael Putnam in Washington and is 16 days older than Putnam. Broke his neck at the age of 11. Favorite professional sports team is the Seattle Mariners and favorite athlete is basketball star Chris Paul.
Earned third-team All-American honors in 2006 as a member of the UNLV golf team. Posted collegiate victories at the 2005 Scratch Players Championship and William H. Tucker Invitational. Winner of the 2000 Washington Junior Long Drive Championship.
Played on the Canadian Tour from 2007-2010. Won the 2009 Saskatchewan Open on that tour. Won the 2007 Trilogy Golf Classic on the Gateway Tour. Has also won titles on the A.G. Spanos Tour and the Butch Harmon Tour.
T-22nd in PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in December 2010, earning his PGA Tour card for 2011.
Prior to 2011, made the cut in all three career starts on the PGA Tour, most recently at the 2009 RBC Canadian Open (T62). Finished T39 at the 2010 Chattanooga Classic, one of two made cuts on the Web.Com Tour in 15 career starts. The other came at the 2008 Rex Hospital Open (T52).
2012 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 23; in money - 14; top-10 finishes - 3; scoring average - 70.82 (ranked T-65th); money - $235,505 (ranked 14th); best finish - won Soboba Golf Classic. With his 14th-place finish on the money list earned a return trop to the PGA Tour.
2013 Notes: Made seven cuts in a combined 25 starts on the PGA Tour (17) and Web.com Tour (8). Had a pair of T8 finishes, one on each Tour. Ended the PGA Tour season with a T-8th at the Wyndham Championship for his first career Tour top-10. The top-10 allowed him to move inside the top 200 in the FedExCup standings to earn a spot into the inaugural Web.com Tour Finals. In the finals did have a T-8th at the Web.Com Tour Championship.
2014 Web.com Summary: Tournaments entered - 22; in money - 13; top-10 finishes - 5; scoring average - 69.64 (ranked 11th); money - $238,620 (ranked 11th); best finish - won Utah Championship. Officially secured his 2014-15 PGA Tour card at the conclusion of the Regular Season in August (11th on the money list).
2015 Notes: Claimed three top-10 finishes in 28 starts. Advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time but missed the cut at The Barclays to end the season at 115th in the FedExCup standings and 111th in the money race. Had two top-5 finishes, T-3rd at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba and 4th at the Barracuda Championship.
2016 Notes: Was T-15th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
