TPC Sawgrass has been the home of the Players Championship since 1982.
Because of COVID-19, last year’s Players Championship was canceled after the first round was played.
Brooks Koepka withdrew on Sunday due to a leg injury. Danny Willett withdrew on Tuesday due to COVID-19.

  1. This is THE BIG ONE SAL!!! BIG Money – for my one-and-done league – need THE WINNER. Love your analysis – but lets cut to the chase on this one.

  2. Yes, need a big win this week. If your one-and-done league is like my league all the winnings have added value, by league does 50% more to your earnings.
As you will see with my preview tomorrow, the Players Championship is very unique in which there is no horse for a course. If you look at this performance chart it’s hard to find a solid favorite. It’s hard to pin-point one golfer and say, “hey he always plays well at TPC Sawgrass.” Hey look at Dustin Johnson as an example. Anyone in the top-100 of the World Rankings has as good of a chance as #1 Dustin Johnson, who has the dubious stain on his career that The Players Championship is the only event he regularly plays in that he has never finished in the top-four.
So it’s hard to pick a winner, hell even guys like Bryson DeChambeau I don’t give him much love, feel he struggles on this course.

  3. Here’s been my plays so far – your analysis has been great…but I just haven’t hit a winner – which as you know is big $$$:

    American Express
    5 $247,900 -15 100
    Farmers Insurance Open
    2 $456,375 -9 167
    Waste Management Phoenix Open
    2 $649,700 -18 245
    AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
    3 $460,200 -15 163
    Genesis Invitational
    15 $151,125 -4 55
    (NO CUT)

    2 $783,333 -15 218
    Arnold Palmer Invitational
    10 $195,300 -3 65

  4. Cantlay’s last 5 tourneys very strong. He’s a threat here for sure.

  5. Mike, you have some great picks, but I worry about Cantlay that the course may be too much for him. Don’t think he can play a great 72 holes on the course, I could be wrong.
