BlogHistorical DraftKings data

Do you want a perfect way to determine who can win this week?

Do you want to know who historically earned the most DraftKings points in the last five years?

Below is a chart of the 69 players in the 95-player field who have played in the Masters since 2000.  Even if you don’t play DraftKings or any other fantasy pick six, this list is a great barometer for those with good track records at Augusta National.

Of the 69 players on our list, 30 have played all five years. So you can see these are the top players you should look at.  Here are the top ten, with the average points earned for all five years:

  • Scottie Scheffler – 88.8 per event
  • Cameron Smith – 85.0 per event
  • Jon Rahm – 78,2 per event
  • Patrick Reed – 74.6 per event
  • Collin Morikawa – 73.7 per event
  • Hideki Matsuyama – 73.7 per event
  • Tommy Fleetwood – 66.8 per event
  • Xander Schauffele – 66.7 per event
  • Corey Conners – 66.3 per event
  • Shane Lowry – 66.0 per event

Now, for those wondering where Rory McIlroy is on the list, he is 16th, averaging 56.5 per event. His low ranking is due to missing two of five cuts.

Of those in the top ten, all made five cuts except for Xander Schauffele and Corey Conners.

Of those not in the top ten who made all five cuts, Tony Finau averaged 60.4 points per event, and Adam Scott averaged 54.3 points per event.

Now, nine of them played in four events, with Phil Mickelson scoring the most points per event at 65.4, Viktor Hovland at 64.2, and Joaquin Niemann at 61.8.

Two players with impressive averages were Will Zalatoris, who averaged 84.2 points in three starts, and Ludvig Aberg, who averaged 89.5 points in his only start last year when he finished second.

In looking for some bargain players this week, you can’t go wrong with these folks:

  • Patrick Reed costs 7,300 points and has averaged 74.6 points in his five starts and hasn’t missed a cut
  • Tom Kim costs 7,500 points and has averaged 69.0 points in two starts, finishing T-16th in 2023 and T-30th last year
  • Chris Kirk costs 6,600 points and has averaged 69.0 points in two starts, finishing T-23rd in 2023 and T-16th last year
  • Corey Conners costs 7,900 points and has averaged 66.3 points in five starts, finishing T-10th in 2020, T-8th in 2021, T-6th in 2022, missed the cut in 2023, and T-38th last year
  • Phil Mickelson costs 6,700 points and has averaged 65.3 points in four starts, finishing T-55th in 2020, T-21st in 2021, T-2nd in 2023, and T-43rd last year

  • Brooks Koepka costs 9,400 points and has averaged 54.7 points in five starts:  Beware that he was injured in 2021 and ’22 when he missed the cut.  Was T-7th in 2020, T-2nd in 2023, and T-45th last year
  • Patrick Cantlay costs 8,700 points and has averaged 53.9 points in five starts.  T-17th in 2020, missed the cut in 2021, T-39th in 2022, T-14th in 2023 and T-22nd last year
  • Bryson DeChambeau costs 9,900 points and has averaged 50.9 points in five starts:  Beware that he was injured in 2022 and ’23 when he missed the cut.  Was T-34th in 2020, T-46th in 2021, and T-6th last year
  • Wyndham Clark costs 7,700 points and earned just 17.5 points in his only start last year, missing the cut

So here is the list; I hope it helps:
