Do you want a perfect way to determine who can win this week?
Do you want to know who historically earned the most DraftKings points for the players who played at Quail Hollow?
Since 2020, Quail Hollow has hosted three Truist Championships. The 2020 Truist was called off due to the pandemic, and the 2022 Truist wasn’t played because the Presidents Cup used the course, so we have DraftKings results for 2021, ’23, and ’24.
Below is a chart of the 86 players in the 156-player field who have played in the Truist since 2000. Even if you don’t play DraftKings or any other fantasy pick-six, this list is a great barometer for those with good track records at Quail Hollow..
Of the 86 players on our list, 26 have played all three years. So you can see these are the top players you should look at. Here are the top ten, with the average points earned for all five years:
- Rory McIlroy – 102.7 per event
- Xander Schauffele – 96.3 per event
- Wyndham Clark – 82.2 per event
- Gary Woodland – 79.3 per event
- Viktor Hovland – 74.8 per event
- Tommy Fleetwood – 74.8 per event
- Corey Conners – 71.7 per event
- Harris English – 70.7 per event
- Justin Thomas – 68.8 per event
- Keegan Bradley – 67.5 per event
Now, many will ask how Scottie Scheffler ranks on our list. He has never played in the Truist Championship. He only played at Quail Hollow at the 2022 Presidents Cup, which didn’t go well. He lost three of four matches and halved the other one.
Of those who played in just two Truist, the best is Keith Mitchell (who was T-3rd in 2001 and T-59th in 2023), with 79.5 points per event.
There were three LIV golfers who did well among those who only played once. Tyrrell Hatton was the best. In 2023, he finished T-3rd and earned 103 points. In 2021, Patrick Reed finished T-6th and scored 75.5 points. Last is Bryson DeChambeau, who in 2021 finished T-9th and earned 74.5 points.
Two other LIV players of interest are Joaquin Niemann, who finished T-18th in 2021 and earned 67 points, and Jon Rahm, who missed the cut and earned 30 points.
In looking for some bargain players this week, you can’t go wrong with these folks:
- Keith Mitchell costs 6,200 points and has averaged 79.5 points in his two starts: (T-3rd in 2021 and T-58th in 2003)

- Max Homa costs 7,600 points and has averaged 59.8 points in three starts, missed the cut in 2021, T-8th in 2023, and T-8th last year.
