Do you want to know who historically earned the most DraftKings points for the players who played in the Memorial between 2020 and 2024?

Below is a chart of the 62 players in the 72-player field who have played in the Memorial since 2020.  Even if you don’t play DraftKings or any other fantasy pick-six, this list is an excellent barometer for those with good track records at the Memorial.

Of the 62 players on our list, 21 have played all five years. So you can see these are the top players you should look at.  Here are the top ten, with the average points earned for all five years:

  • Si Woo Kim – 72.3 per event
  • Xander Schauffele – 71.7 per event
  • Patrick Cantlay – 69.7 per event
  • Viktor Hovland – 69.0 per event
  • Collin Morikawa – 67.7 per event
  • Denny McCarthy – 61.0 per event
  • Jordan Spieth – 60.8 per event
  • Steve Lowry – 58.4 per event
  • Adam Hadwin – 56.9 per event
  • Corey Conners – 155.1 per event

12 have played four years. Here are the top seven, with the average points earned for all four years

  • Scottie Scheffler – 89.8 per event
  • Sahith Theegala – 66.9 per event
  • Max Homa – 64.1 per event
  • Christiaan Bezuidenhout – 63.6 per event
  • Matt Kuchar – 55.9 per event
  • Matt Fitzpatrick –53.9 per event
  • Justin Thomas – 47.2 per event

In looking for some bargain players this week, you can’t go wrong with these folks (with two starts:

  • Tony Finau costs 8,200 points and has averaged 74.5 points in his three starts: (8th in 2020, T-32nd in 2021 & T-8th last year)
  • Si Woo Kim costs 8,300 points and has averaged 72.3 points in five starts: finishing 18th in 2020, T-9th in 2021, T-13th in 2022, 4th in 2023, and T-15th last year.
  • Sahith Theegala costs 6,900 points and has averaged 66.9 points in four starts, finishing T-32nd in 2021, T-5th in 2022,  T-58th in 2023, and T-12th last year.
  • Adam Scott costs 7,200 points and has averaged 66.2 points in three starts, finishing T-16th in 2021, T-67th in 2022, and T-9th in 2023.
  • Eric Cole costs 6,600 points and has averaged 64.8 points in two starts, finishing T-24th in 2023 and T-45th last year.
  • Max Homa costs 7,500 points and has averaged 64.1 points in four starts, missed the cut in 2020, T-6th in 2021, T-5th in 2022,  and T-22nd last year.
  • Christiaan Bezuidenhout costs 6,900 points and has averaged 63.6 points in four starts, T-22nd in 2020, T-37th in 2021, T-38th in 2023, and 4th last year.
  • Sam Burns costs 7,900 points and has averaged 63.5 points in three starts, T-50th in 2021, T-16th in 2023, and T-15th last year.
  • Denny McCarthy costs 7,900 points and has averaged 61.0 points in five starts, T-58th in 2020, missed cut in 2021, T-5th in 2022, 2nd in 2023, and T-39th last year.

So, who are the players who are way overpriced for the average points earned?

  • Justin Thomas costs 10,100 points and has averaged 47.2 points in four starts, T-18th in 2020, T-42nd in 2021, missed cut in 2023, and T-33rd last year.
  • Corey Conners costs 9,100 points and has averaged 55.1 points in five starts; T-22nd in 2020, T-53rd in 2021, T-13th in 2022, missed cut in 2023, and T-20th last year.
  • Hideki Matsuyama costs 9,000 points and has averaged 44.5 points in five starts:  Missed the cut in 2020, T-62nd in 2021, DQ in 2022, T-16th in 2023, and T-8th last year.
  • Shane Lowry costs 8,700 points and has averaged 58.4 points in five starts:  missed cut in 2020,  T-6th in 2021, T-32nd in 2022, T-16th in 2023, and 49th last year.
