The GOLFstats Player Rankings provide an current ranking of the hottest golfers on All Tours. The ranking uses the players performance over the previous 9 weeks starting from when the report is generated. Tournaments in progress are counted. GOLFstats automatically updates it’s data every hour.
Here is how the point system works
- 132 points are awarded for a regular tour win. All other finishers in the Top 50 get points as well, via a declining schedule (see table below).
- Miss the cut and player loses points (per table below)
- No points earned or lost if player doesn’t play
- Points are higher for WGC, FEDEX, Players, BMW PGA, and Majors (per table below)
- Points are ⅓ less for tournaments in weeks 4, 5 and 6 (middle third), and ⅓ less for tournaments in weeks 7, 8 and 9(last third) for all places.
