Anne Van Dam

Anne Van Dam started playing golf at age 5 when on a family holiday in America. Her dad played a lot, and her sister and mom had just started playing. Initially, her passion was swimming, but the more golf she played, the more she enjoyed it. Her first tournament was for the Dutch Team against France at Golf National. She was 12, and playing in the Netherlands was a great feeling. She won the National Championship under 9 years old, which helped her realize that golf was her future instead of swimming.
She continued playing for the Dutch national team, traveling around Europe and participating in the World Team Championships for the Netherlands. She won the Austrian Women's Amateur in 2011 and 2012 and the 2015 Netherlands National Open Stroke Play Championship by 12 strokes.
In 2013, at the age of 17, she played in her first LET tournament, the Deloitte Ladies Open. She also played in the Jr. Solheim Cup in Colorado. She played in the 2014 World Amateur Team Championship and finished 6th, so she turned pro. In 2017, Van Dam made 13 LET starts and made 12 cuts. She posted five top-20 finishes and earned a T-3rd finish at the Hero Women's Indian Open.
