Auston Kim

Auston Kim started playing golf at age 6. Her most memorable junior golf experience was shooting the lowest round of her golf career at the 2017 PGA Junior Series to qualify for the Junior PGA Championship by one stroke.
As a prep junior in 2017, Kim rose to No. 43 in AJGA's rankings. Besides leading her Nease High School team to a fifth-place finish at the Florida state tournament and capturing the regional individual title, Kim qualified for the 2017 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship by earning medalist honors at a Cartersville (Ga.) Country Club qualifier.
Kim is a freshman at Vanderbilt University and has stamped herself among the nation's top collegiate freshmen. She captured the NCAA Auburn Regional individual title and helped Vanderbilt to the team championship by carding rounds of 70, 70, and 70 for a 6-under-par 210 total. It marked her first collegiate victory.
Kim was named to the First Team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman squads during a postseason ballot of the 14 league head coaches. As a first-year Commodore, she is a three-time recipient of SEC Freshman of the Week honors and was named to the ANNIKA Award watch list after averaging a score of 71.8 over 10 competitive rounds this season. At the SEC Championships, she helped the Commodores advance to match play with a 54-hole stroke play total of 220 (+4, T-16th).
Outside of golf, Kim enjoys skateboarding, reading, listening to music and fishing with her dad. Her parents are Christopher and Pilijo. Her sister, August, was the 2016 Big Ten Conference Individual champion at Purdue University and plays on the Symetra Tour.
She was T-25th in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur and missed the cut in 2022. In 2021, she was T-3rd after the two rounds at Champions Retreat after rounds of 72-72 but struggled to an 83 at Augusta National to fall off the pace.
2022 Notes: Turned pro, played in 12 events on the Epson Tour, made 4 cuts, and was 105th on the money list with $11,253. Had one top-10 finish, 8th at the Carolina Golf Classic. At the U.S. Women's Open at Pine Needles, she missed the cut.
2023 Notes: Played in 21 events on the Epson Tour, making 17 cuts, and was 3rd on the money list with $119,882. She had ten top-ten finishes, winning the season-ending Epson Tour Championship. Finished third in the Race for the Card standings to earn LPGA Tour membership for the 2024 season.
2024 Notes: Played in 27 LPGA Tour events, making 20 cuts with three top-ten finishes. She was 66th on the money list with $588,874 in earnings and was 62nd in CME points. In her first start as an LPGA member, she was T-6th at the LPGA Drive On Championship, five shots back of the Nelly Korda/Lydia Ko playoff. She teamed with Grace Kim to finish T-5th at the Dow Championship for her first top-five finish on the LPGA Tour. They shared the 36-hole lead before shooting 69-65 on the weekend to finish four shots back of the winning team of Atthaya Thitikul and Ruoning Yin. Was 3rd at the LOTTE Championship (her career low), and was a shot back of the winner A.Lim Kim.
2025 Notes: She was T-2nd in the KPMG Women?s PGA Championship, shooting 68 in the final round to finish three shots back of the winner Minjee Lee. The next week was T-6th at the Down Championship with partner Sei Young Kim.
