Beau Hossler

Growing up, played other sports, including baseball, but focused on golf exclusively at the age of 11
Went to high school at Santa Margarita. Qualified for the 2009 U.S. Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as an eighth-grader. Medalist and quarterfinalist at the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur. Won back-to-back AJGA events in 2010, including the Trader Joes AJGA and the Stockton AJGA. Named a first-team Rolex Junior All-American selection in 2010 and 2012, a list that also included Jordan Spieth. Shot lowest competitive round at the 2008 Junior World with a 66. Won the 2012 AJGA Heather Farr Classic, and set the record with a 15-under-par total. He qualified for match play at the 2014 U.S. Amateur Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club (lost in Round of 64). Hossler also got an early start in playing the U.S. Open, in 2011 he was the youngest player in the field at 16 and missed the cut. He qualified again in 2012 and finished T-29th, he held the outright lead during the second round. Also competed as an amateur at the 2012 AT&T National at Congressional Country Club, finishing T-74th.
Two-time Southern California Golf Association Amateur champion (2013, 2014), 2014 Western Amateur Champion, 2014 California Amateur Championship runner-up. Member of winning USA teams at 2014 World Amateur Team Championship and 2012 Junior Ryder Cup.
He enrolled at the University of Texas in January 2013 and was ranked as the No. 2 junior player in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings at the time. He finished his sophomore season in 2014-15. Named the 2015 Big 12 Player of the Year. Ping First-Team All American in 2015 after earning honorable mention honors in 2014. Earned his first medalist honors at the Johnny Hayt Collegiate Invitational in 2015. Played in all 11 events for the Longhorns in 2014-15, never finishing outside of the top 20 individually. Also played in his 3rd U.S. Open in 2015 finishing T-58th plus playing in the 2015 Palmer Cup and Walker Cup.
Ended his collegiate career on a bummer, at the 2016 NCAA Championship, injured his left shoulder, and was forced to concede his singles match against the University of Oregon team who eventually went on to win the title. In three seasons at the University of Texas, won six times, including five titles during his junior campaign. Won the 2016 Fred Haskins Award as the year's most outstanding collegiate golfer.
2016 Notes: Turned professional following the 2016 NCAA Championship after leaving the University of Texas with one year of eligibility remaining. Made his professional debut in the TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational in November finishing T-8th. He also finished 22nd in another Adams Tour one-day event in December. Earned his first professional victory in December in a 36-hole event on the Adams Pro Tour, the Cypresswood Open in Spring, Texas, his third start since turning professional in July. Shot rounds of 67-66 to earn $5,200.
2017 Notes: Started the year with the plan of using all of his 7 PGA Tour sponsor exemptions in order to earn enough to secure extended privileges for the rest of the year. His first event was the Farmers Insurance Open, he finished T-49th. But things didn't work out, he played his 7th and last event at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational missing the cut, in his 7 starts only made 3 cuts, best was T-39th at the Shell Houston Open. So he moved on to the Korn Ferry Tour and had a lot of success
2017 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 14; Rounds Played - 50; in money - 11; top -10 Finishes - 2; Scoring Average - 69.22 (rank 4th); Season money $164,326 (rank 23rd), Finals Money $3,120 (101st), Priority rank (48th); Best finish: 2nd at the Air Capital Classic and LECOM Health Challenge. With his first 2nd place finish at the Air Capital secured Special Temporary Membership on the Korn Ferry Tour. He secured his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season with a 23rd-place finish on the 2017 Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season money list.
2018 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 24 cuts with five top-ten finishes. Got his first career top-ten with a T-10th at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Got his next one a week later with a T-7th at the Shiners Hospitals for Children Open. Following rounds of 65-67 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am shared the opening-round lead with Kevin Streelman and the second-round lead with Dustin Johnson. Closed with rounds of 74-76 to finish T-43rd, a distant 12 strokes behind champion Ted Potter, Jr. At the Houston Open lost a playoff to Ian Poulter, unfortunately with the loss was a chance of getting into the Masters. Had his second runner-up finish at the Travelers Championship finishing 3 shots back of winner Bubba Watson. Next week was T-6th at the Quicken Loans National. Went into the FedExCup playoffs 42nd in the standings and played the first Playoff events. Ended the year 46th in the FedExCup after a T-33rd finish at the BMW Championship.
2019 Notes: Pllayed in 27 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with three top-25 finishes. Ranked 145th in the FedExCup standings. Best finish T-15th Genesis Open. Went to the Korn Ferry Finals, was T-2nd at the Nationwide Children's and T-25th at the Albertsons Boise Open. FInished 17th in the final priority ranking to regain his PGA Tour card for 2020.
2020 Notes: Played in 22 PGA Tour events making 13 cuts and one top-ten finish. Was ranked 116th in the final FedExCup standings. Best finish T-9th at the Farmers Insurance Open. In the FedExCup Playoffs was T-49th at the Northern Trust. Went to Korn Ferry Finals and only made one cut in three starts, T-61st at the Albertsons Boise Open.
2021 Notes: Played in 20 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with one top-ten finish. In the final FedExCup rankings finished 148th. Best finish T-10th at the Travelers Championship.
2022 Notes: Held a share of the 54-hole lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, shot a final round 71 to finish 3rd, three shots back of the winner Tom Hoge. It was his best result since the 2018 Travelers Championship (T-2nd). Again held a share of the 54-hole lead at the Valero Texas Open but shot a final round 72 to finish T-4th, three shots back of winner J.J. Spaun.
