Cydney Clanton

Started playing golf at age 10. Clanton enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning the 2010 North & South Amateur Championship. While at Auburn University she recorded two wins, including the 2009 NCAA Fall Preview. She was named the 2008 NGCA Freshman Player of the Year.
Member of the USA Curtis Cup and Women's World Amateur Teams in 2010.
In June 2011, turned professional, played on the Symetra Tour in 2011 where she notched four top-20 finishes including tied for seventh at the Tate & Lyle Players Championship and Eagle Classic. Finished tied for ninth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, where she earned Priority List Category 11 for the 2012 LPGA season.
In 2012 on the LPGA Tour, Clanton played in 15 events making four cuts, with the best finish of T-19th at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
She would only play three events, finishing with a best of T-61st at the Safeway Classic in 2013.
Clanton made six cuts in 2014 in 18 events, earning $27,937, good enough for 137th on the money list. Her best finish of T-7th came at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic, an event she would enjoy success in throughout her career.
2015 Notes: She played in just nine events, making four cuts and earning $50,799, 113th on the money list. She finished T-23rd at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic.
2016 Notes: Played in 22 events making 8 cuts. Was 98th on the money list, her best finish was T-15th at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic.
2017 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA events making 19 cuts. Had 3 top-tens and was 70th on the money list. Her best finishes were T-9th at the LPGA Lotte Championship, Lorena Ochoa Match Play, and LPGA Volvik Championship.
2018 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA events making 11 cuts. Her best finish was T-11th at the Lotte Championship. Finished 101st on the money list with earnings of $113,212. Was 88th on the CME points list.
2019 Notes: Played in 12 LPGA events making 10 cuts with one top-ten. She was 63rd on the money list with earnings of $113,212 and was 63rd on the CME points list. Won on the LPGA for the first time at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational playing with partner Jasmine Suwannapura. Also played in seven Symetra tour events, won the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout
2020 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA events making 14 cuts with two top-tens. Was 43rd on the money list with earnings of $253,035, finished 48th on the CME points list. Was T-6th at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio and T-9th at the Marathon Classic.
2021 Notes: Was T-9th at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. As defending champion, she teamed with Jasmine Suwannapura again to finish 2nd in the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, three shots back of winners the Jutanugarn sisters.
