Daniela Darquea

Her parents were members of Arrayanes Country Club in suburban Quito, and first wanted Daniela to play tennis, but she did not like it. Started playing golf at age 4. Her uncle, Manuel Bastidas, introduced her to the game.
She played college golf at Miami (Fla.). She was an honorable mention All-American as a freshman in 2014. She missed the cut at the 2015 U.S. Women's Open and was the first woman from Ecuador to play in the Championship.
2017 Notes: She turned pro in 2016 after earning conditional status on the LPGA Tour by finishing T-29th at the 2016 Q School as an amateur. Played in 22 Epson Tour events making 16 cuts with six top-ten finishes. She was 12th on the Epson Tour money list with earnings of $54,161, she had a win at the IOA Championship in March, becoming the first player from Ecuador to win on that Tour. She was T-2nd at the Symetra Classic in Atlanta, finishing 2 shots back of winner Nanna Koerstz Madsen. After the season, she finished T-20th at Q School but lost out in a three-players-for-one-spot playoff for the final full LPGA card for 2018; instead, she got conditional status on Tour.
2018 Notes: Played in 19 LPGA Tour events making 10 cuts with one top-ten finish. Her best finish was T-5th at the Marathon Classic, three shots back of the Jasmine Suwannapura/Brittany Lincicome playoff. She finished 95th on the money list with earnings of $120,029.
2019 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA Tour events making 10 cuts with one top-ten finish. Her best finish was T-6th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, three shots back of the winner Sung Hyun Park. She finished 97th on the money list with earnings of $129,608.
2020 Notes: Played in 8 LPGA Tour events making five cuts. Her best finish was T-46th at the Pelican Womens Championship. She was 130th on the money list with earnings of $19,102.
2021 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA Tour events making five cuts. Her best finish was T-25th at the Cognizant Founders Cup. She was 143rd on the money list with earnings of $35,450. She qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 as a member of Ecuador's women's golf team and finished T-38th in the Games.
2022 Notes: She played in 11 LPGA Tour events making seven cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 66th in the CME rankings and 85th on the money list, with earnings of $243,096. She was T-8th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Karis Davidson. She had her best finish on the LPGA Tour with a 2nd at the Amazingcre Portland Classic. She was a shot back of the winner Andrea Lee. She also played in 15 Epson Tour events making 10 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Best was 3rd at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic and 4th at the French Lick Charity Classic. She was 27th on the money list with earnings of $49,210.
2023 Notes: Besst finish T-9th at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play, she lost to Linn Grant 4 & 3 in the round of 16.
