Jennifer Chang

Shot 69 in AIG Women's qualifying at North Berwick and with a birdie on her final hole finished T-6th avoiding the playoff.
Chang started playing golf at the age of nine, and she became one of the best high school golfers the state of North Carolina has ever seen. Her father, Yong, is a hardwood installer, and her mother, Eunok, is a hairstylist. She has one sister, Connie.
She recently finished her second season at the University of Southern California, where she is majoring in communications. Chang graduated from Athens Drive High School a semester early and enrolled at USC in January 2018.
She was a four-time state champion (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), a two-time prep All-American and multiple all-state selections while at Athens Drive.
She earned a runner-up finish at the 2015 AJGA Girls Championship and was 7th at the 2015 AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions. In 2016, she helped the U.S. to third overall at the World Junior Girls Championship while finishing 2nd individually. She advanced to the semifinals of the North and South Women's Amateur.
In 2017, she was runner-up at the U.S. Girls Junior Championship, losing to Erica Shepherd in the final, 3 and 2. She earned an exemption to the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur as a finalist. She also secured a runner-up finish at the 2017 AJGA Polo Golf Classic, participated in her second Wyndham Cup in a row, and played at the 2017 Junior Solheim Cup. Chang posted the lowest 18-hole score in North Carolina prep history as she went on to win the Triangle 6 4A Conference tournament with a 10-under 61.
In her first year as a Trojan, Chang competed in all eight tournaments, posted four top-10 finishes, and earned Second Team All-American honors. She captured her first collegiate title at the Silverado Showdown, tying for first with UCLA's Patty Tavatanakit. She placed 6th at the NCAA Madison Regional, the best finish by a Trojan at the tournament.
As a sophomore, Chang captured two titles and eight top-10 finishes. She tied for first at the 2019 Clover Cup and claimed medalist honors at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional while leading the Trojans to a first-place finish. Chang has been named a 2019 ANNIKA Award Finalist.
Chang qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open in 2018 and shot 81-79-160 to miss the cut. She also played in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur in April 2019 and missed the cut.
She played at USC for two and a half years. She was a first-team All-American as a sophomore with two wins and a second-team All-American as a freshman in 2018, with a win at the Silverado Showdown. She helped the Trojans reach the semifinals of the 2018 NCAA Championship.
She played in the fall of 2019 at USC but at the end of the year finished T-9th at LPGA Q-Series. With a year and a half left at USC, she decided to turn pro and play on the LPGA Tour in 2020.
2020 Notes: Played in 13 LPGA events making five cuts. Was 116th on the CME Points list and 113th on the money list with earnings of $38,262. Best finish was T-42nd at the Cambia Portland Classic.
2021 Notes: Played in 19 LPGA Tour events making 13 cuts with one top-ten. Was 104th on the CME Points list and 100th on the money list with earnings of $128,647. Best finish was T-8th at the LPGA Drive on Championship Golden Ocala. Finished the year with a T-13th finish at the Cognizant Founders Cup. Went back to LPGA Q Series and finished T-16th to regain her card for 2022.
2022 Notes: Best finish T-10th at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
