Justin Harding

Harding played college golf at Lamar University near Houston, Texas, and represented his country as an amateur golfer. After graduating, he earned a place on the Sunshine Tour on his first attempt, finishing 3rd at the 2009 qualifying school while still an amateur. He won a tournament in each of his first three seasons on the tour, in 2010, '11, and '12. He won again in 2015 and '16, and then twice in two weeks in 2018. With a pair of victories on the 2018/19 Sunshine Tour at the Investec Royal Swazi Open and the Lombard Insurance Classic, he finished 2nd on the tour's Order of Merit for the year.
In July 2018, Harding made a rare appearance outside of Africa and won the Bank BRI Indonesia Open by a stroke over Scott Vincent. Two weeks later, he won the Royal Cup in Thailand by six strokes.
At the beginning of 2018, Harding was 712th in the Official World Golf Ranking, but at the end of 2018 moved to 85th. He finished 3rd in the order of merit on the Asian Tour. Another interesting aspect of Harding game, no matter where a tournament is played, Harding doesn't mind traveling to it. Since the beginning of 2018, Harding has played tournaments in 23 different countries around the world. (South African, Indonesia, Fiji, United States, Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), Ireland, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Qatar, Oman, Kenya, Thailand, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Eswatini).
2019 Notes: In his first full-time season on the European Tour, Harding played in 26 events and made 19 cuts with six top-10 results. Finished 26th in the Race to Dubai standings. Played in 12 PGA Tour events, making nine cuts with one top-10 finish. Started the year with a T-14th at the Honma Hong Kong Open and 4th at the Afrasia Bank Mauritius Open. He finished T-7th at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and 4th at the ISPS Handa Vic Open. The South African won his first European Tour title at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in March. He birdied three of his last four holes to post a closing 66 and secure his first European Tour title in his 54th appearance. It was his fifth worldwide win in 12 months, along with his two 2018 Asian Tour victories and two Sunshine Tour victories in May and July of 2018. A week after Qatar, he finished T-2nd at the Magical Kenyan Open, a stroke behind winner Guido Migliozzi. Also finished T-51st at the Asian Tour's SMBC Singapore Open. After the Kenya finish, he climbed to 48th in the Official World Golf Ranking and was able to hold onto that position after the WGC-Dell Technologies to secure an invitation to the Masters where he finished T-12nd. Shot 64-65 on the weekend to finish T-10th at the AT&T Byron Nelson. He participated in the Korn Ferry Finals and was T-7th at the Nationwide Children's, T-43rd at the Albertsons Boise Open, and missed the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour Champions. Was 26th in the Finals 25 rank, just missing his PGA Tour card by one-tenth of a point. He returned to the European Tour and finished T-7th at the Spanish Open. In the last event of the year, he posted a T-36th result at the DP World Tour, Dubai.
2020 Notes: Played in 22 European Tour events making 14 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Was 67th in the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro380,663. Started his European Tour season with a T-7th at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, five shots behind winner Pablo Larrazabal. After the break, finished 3rd at the Betfred British Masters, four shots behind winner Renato Paratore. Was T-3rd at the Andalucia Masters, two shots behind winner John Catlin. Was T-11th at the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open. Ended his year T-48th in the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai. Only played once in America/Mexico, T-29th at the WGC-Mexico Championship.
2021 Notes: Played in 28 European Tour events making 21 cuts with five top-ten finishes. Was 28th in the Race to Dubai with earnings of euro699,549.15. In his fifth start of the year won the Magical Kenya Open by two shots over Kurt Kitayama. Shot 64-65 on the weekend. Was T-5th at the BMW International Open, six shots back of winner Viktor Hovland. Lost a playoff to Nacho Elvira in the Cazoo Open, shot 66-65 over the weekend. The next week was T-7th at the ISPS HANDA World Invitational, three shots back of winner Daniel Gavins. Was T-9th at the Dutch Open and finished the season with a 50th place finish at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.
2022 Notes: Was T-6th at the SA Open Championship, was T-4th at the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic four shots back of the Viktor Hovland/Richard Bland playoff. He finished T-9th at the Ras Al Khaimah Classic. Was T-5th at the Commercial Qatar Masters, three shots back of winner Ewen Ferguson. On the Sunshine Tour was 7th at the Tour Championship and on the Asian Tour was 4th at International Series England, four shots back of winner Scott Vincent. Joined the LIVgolf Series, finishing T-10th in London and 8th in Portland.
