Keegan Bradley

The nephew of 1981 U.S. Women's Open Champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member Pat Bradley, Keegan was an all-state ski racer in his home state of Vermont. His father is a PGA Professional in Jackson Hole, Wyo. With his victory at the 2011 PGA Championship, he became one of six players who are sons of PGA of America Professionals to win the major. The others were Jack Burke Jr., Dave Marr, Raymond Floyd, Davis Love III, and Rich Beem, since joined by Justin Thomas. Bradley's victory at the Atlanta Athletic Club made him just the third player, in nearly a century, to win a major in his first attempt. The others were Francis Ouimet (1913) and Ben Curtis (2003). Bradley turned professional in 2008 and played mini-tour events, winning the 2008 Southern Dunes and 2009 Texas Honing Open on the NGA Hooters Tour. He finished T-34th at the 2009 PGA Tour Q-School to earn a Korn Ferry Tour card for 2010. In addition, he played for the U.S. Teams at the 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cup and 2013 Presidents Cup.
2010 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments Entered - 28; Rounds Played - 93; In Money - 20; Top-10 Finishes - 5; Scoring Average - 70.221 (rank T-43rd); Money - $264,760 (rank 14th); Best Finish: 2nd at the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic. Finished the year with four consecutive top-five finishes in his last six starts.
2011 Notes: Bradley was PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. He Won playoffs in both of his victories by defeating Ryan Palmer on the first playoff hole at the HP Byron Nelson and then Jason Dufner in a three-hole, aggregate-score playoff at the PGA Championship. He also won the 2011 PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda and the Franklin Templeton Shootout with Brendan Steele.
2012 Notes: Bradley won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, becoming the 10th player to win both a WGC event and a major. He finished second at the Northern Trust, losing a playoff to Bill Haas. Bradley capped his year by making the U.S. Ryder Cup Team. He finished 2012 ranked 10th on the PGA Tour money list with total earnings of $3,910,658.
2013 Notes: Made the cut in 21 of 25 starts, with runner-up finishes at the HP Byron Nelson Championship and WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, finishing the year with a career-best seven top-10 finishes. He ranked 18th in the FedExCup standings and 11th on the money list with just over $3.6 million in earnings. He was 2-2-1 in his five matches during the U.S. Team's Presidents Cup victory, his first appearance in the biennial event.
2014 Notes: Among six top-10 finishes in 26 starts as a solo runner-up finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He also had a pair of T-4ths at both the U.S. Open and The Greenbrier. While playing in the FedExCup Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year, his season ended following his withdrawal from the BMW Championship over an embedded-ball ruling. His 33rd-place finish in the FedExCup standings marked just the first time he finished outside the top 30 since joining the PGA Tour in 2011. As a captain's pick for the U.S. Ryder Cup Team, he went 1-2-0 in his three matches during the European victory in the biennial event in Scotland.
2015 Notes: He finished T-4th with four others, a shot out of the James Hahn, Dustin Johnson, and Paul Casey playoff at the Northern Trust. He also came close at the Shell Houston Open, finishing T-5th. He notched another top-10 at Memorial, finishing T-8th for his third top-10 of the year. Finished 60th in the FedExCup standings and 64th on the money list.
2016 Notes: Played in 26 events and made 15 cuts. Had two top-10s and finished 103rd in the FedExCup standings and 116th on the money list. He earned a T-8th result at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, his first top-10 of the year. His next was a T-8th at the Memorial. At the Open Championship, he opened with a 67-68 but finished with a 76-73 to finish T-18th.
2017 Notes: Played 29 PGA Tour events, making a career-high 23 cuts. He had 5 top-10 finishes and was 47th in the FedExCup standings. Got off to a good start with a T-22nd at the Safeway Open, 6th at the CIMB Classic, and T-7th at the Shriners Hospitals. Also crafted another top-10 with a T-4th at the Farmers Insurance Open. Teamed with tournament co-host Billy Andrade to win the unofficial CVS Health Charity Classic. Finished T-8th at the Travelers Championship, then T-5th at the Quicken Loans Nationals, three shots out of the playoff.
2018 Notes: Played 27 PGA Tour events, making 23 cuts. Posted five top-10 results, and was 8th in the FedExCup standings, his best career finish, and the first time in the top 30 since 2013. His big moment came at the BMW Championship, where he defeated Justin Rose with a par on the first playoff hole to win. He earned his fourth PGA Tour title in his 209th start at the age of 32 years, 3 months, and 3 days. It was his first win since the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone. In his other top-10 finishes, Bradley shot a five-under 67 in the final round at the CIMB Classic to record a runner-up finish to Pat Perez. The result was his best on the PGA Tour since coming in 2nd at the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Was 5th at the Farmers Insurance Open, two shots back of getting into the playoff. He finished T-7th at the Players Championship, his first top-10 result in this event in eight Player starts. Shot a final-round 66 to move up 19 spots on the leaderboard. Shot a final-round 64 to finish 4th at the RBC Canadian Open, four shots behind winner Dustin Johnson.
2019 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour events, making 20 cuts and posting 3 top-ten finishes. Was 66th in the FedExCup standings. In his second start of the year, he finished 6th at the WGC-HSBC Champions. At the WGC-Mexico, he birdied three of his last four holes in the final round to finish T-10th. Was T-2nd at the Travelers Championship 3 shots back of winner Chez Reavie. Unfortunately, Bradley had a double bogey on his 71st hole. Was T-64th at the Northern Trust and T-43rd at the BMW Championship to finish his season.
2020 Notes: Played in 20 PGA Tour events and made 14 cuts. Didn't have a top-ten finish for the first time since he was on the PGA Tour in 2011. In the FedExCup standings was 106th. His T-12th at the Sony Open in Hawaii was his best finish for the year. Shot a first-round 66 at the Farmers Insurance Open to hold a share of the 18-hole lead before finishing T-16th. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-29th at the Northern Trust.
2021 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour events making 18 cuts with four top-ten finishes. Was 45th in the FedExCup standings. Was T-4th at the Sanderson Farms Championship, After holding the 36-hole lead, shot 73-69 on the weekend to finish four shots back of winner Sergio Garcia. Was T-4th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Brendan Steele. At the Valspar Championship, held at least a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds before finishing 2nd, three shots back of champion Sam Burns. It was his seventh runner-up finish on the PGA Tour in his 273rd career start. In the FedExCup playoffs, finished T-11th at the Northern Trust and T-60th at the BMW Championship.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour events making 19 cuts with six top-ten finishes. Was 54th in the FedExCup standings. Shot a final-round 65 to finish T-7th at the Zozo Championship. Was 5th at the Players Championship and shot 68-68 over the weekend. Was T-8th at the Valero Texas Open, four shots back of winner J.J. Spaun. With partner Brendan Steele finished T-4th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Had the 54-hole lead at the Wells Fargo Championship but shot 72 in the final round to finish T-2nd, two shots back of winner Max Homa. Was T-7th at the U.S. Open, five shots back of winner Matt Fitzpatrick. In the FedExCup playoffs, missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude and T-58th at the BMW Championship.
2023 Notes: Started the season with a T-5th finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Won his next start at the Zozo Championship by a shot over Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam. Was 2nd at the Farmers Insurance Open, two shots back of winner Max Homa. Was T-10th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Won the Travelers Championship by three shots over Zac Blair and Brian Harman. It was Bradley's 6th PGA Tour title and second of the season in his 325th career start at the age of 37 years, 18 days. Bradley was born and raised in neighboring Vermont, and the Travelers was the first event he ever attended as a junior. Even though he lives in Jupiter, Florida, the Northeast holds a special place in his heart.
