Kristen Gillman

Gillman was one of the most decorated junior golfers in recent U.S. history. She won the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2014 and 2018, the Junior PGA Championship in 2014, and the North and South Women's Amateur in 2016. She made a series of successful appearances for the U.S. national teams and won the 2014 Junior Ryder Cup, the 2015 Junior Solheim Cup, the 2016 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan, the 2018 Curtis Cup, and the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup at Evian Resort Golf Club in France. She also won the 2018 Espirito Santo Trophy in Ireland with Jennifer Kupcho and Lilia Vu. She won the silver medal with the Mixed team at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Gillman enrolled at the University of Alabama in 2016. She was SEC Freshman of the Year playing for the Alabama golf team and set several school records.
As an amateur, she made six starts on the LPGA Tour, including the 2018 U.S. Women's Open, where she made her first cut and finished T-27th. As an amateur, she won the Century 21 Ladies Golf Tournament on the 2018 Japan LPGA, beating Ayako Kimura and Sakura Koiwai by four shots. It was the only time she played on the Japan LPGA (did play in the Toto Japan Classic the next year but that was co-sanctioned with LPGA) After she beat JiWon Jeon 7 & 6 in the finals of the Women's amateur held at The Golf Club of Tennessee it was decided to try and qualify as an amateur at the LPGA Q-Series and if she earned an LPGA Tour card would turn pro and forgo her final two years of eligibility at Alabama. She finished T-13th, giving her status for the 2019 season, and turned professional.
2019 Notes: In her rookie season, she played in 26 LPGA Tour events, making 22 cuts with four top-ten finishes. Was 43rd on the money list with $492,466 in earnings and 35th on the CME points list. She got her first top ten as a professional at the ANA Inspiration. She finished T-6th after a final round 66, placing her six shots back of the winner Jin Young Ko. Was T-9th at both the Meijer LPGA Classic and Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Her best finish of the year came at the Buick LPGA Shanghai. Gillman finished T-3rd, three shots back of the winner Danielle Kang. She finished 2nd in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings behind Jeongeun Lee6, who won the U.S Women's Open.
2020 Notes: Played in 15 LPGA Tour events, making 12 cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 58th on the money list with $215,042 in earnings, placed 53rd on the CME points list. Finished T-33rd at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio and T-21st at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open when COVID-19 put a halt to the LPGA Tour season. During the break, Gillman played in four events on the Womens All Pro Tour. She got her first professional victory at the Hurricane Creek Classic, then won the next event at the Texarkana Children's and was 2nd at the Central Arkansas Open. She won the tour's money race in 2020 with $20,500 in earnings. She returned to the LPGA when it restarted but struggled to regain her form, and her best finishes were T-11th at the AIG Women's Open and T-8th at the VOA Texas Shootout.
2021 Notes: Played in 24 LPGA Tour events, making 13 cuts and no top-ten finishes. She was 110th on the money list with $106,847 in earnings and placed 116th on the CME points list. Best finish was T-26th at the KIA Classic.
2022 Notes: Played in 8 LPGA Tour events, making three cuts and no top-ten finishes. She was 174th on the money list with $19,404 in earnings and placed 175th on the CME points list. Best finish was T-38th at the ISPS Handa World Women's. She lost her LPGA Tour card and had to go to the Epson Tour.
2023 Notes: Played in 22 Epson Tour events, making 19 cuts and four top-ten finishes. Was 174th on the money list with $95,701 in earnings, placed 10th on the Race for the Card points list. Here best finish was 2nd at the French Lick Charity Classic. She finished the season strong, was T-4th at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, T-3rd at the Tuscaloosa Classic and T-4th at the Epson Tour Championship She finished birdie-eagle on her two final holes which gave her a final round 64 which help get her the 10th spot in the Race for the Card and a return to the LPGA Tour for 2024.
2024 Notes: Played in 27 LPGA Tour events, making 16 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 80th on the money list with $426,966 in earnings, placed 80th on the CME points list. Was 7th at the Meijer LPGA Classic; since then, she has only made one cut in her last seven starts. After missing the cut at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open, played the next day at Crail, and shot 68 in the qualifier to play in the AIG Women's Open. Went on to finish T-49th at the Old Course. Was T-9th at the Kroger Queen City Championship.
2025 Notes: She was T-8th in the Mizuho Americas Open for her first top-10 finish of the year and followed that two weeks later with a T-9 at the Mexico Riviera Maya Open. Was T-10th at the Dow Championship with partner Kate Smith-Stroh.
