Rob Labritz

For 30 years, Rob has been a club professional and currently is the director of golf at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, New York. His life changed on December 10, 2021, when he shot a bogey-free, 7-under par 64 to win the PGA Tour Champions Qualifying Tour, held at TPC Tampa Bay in Lutz, Florida. In the final round, he posted a 72-hole score of 17-under 267 to finish three shots ahead of runners-up Thongchai Jaidee and David Bradshaw and won the event, thus getting him his PGA Tour Champions card.
Labritz has had a lot of experience in playing tournament golf. He participated in 13 PGA Club Professional championships, playing 72 holes in 12 of them, with a best finish of 8th in 2019 and '21. He also played in the PGA Championship eight times, making the cut twice and getting low club pro in 2010 (T-68th) and 2019 (T-60th).
He has had other honors, including being a member of the 2003 U.S. PGA Cup Team (5-0-0). He was named 2002, '03, '08, '3, '15, and '16 Westchester Golf Association Player of the Year. He finished T-50th in the 2003 Australian Masters. Was the 2004 medalist in the Canadian PGA Tour Q-School and a Canadian Tour Member in '04 and '05. Winner, 2008, '13, '16 New York State Open (all at Bethpage Black); 2016 Westchester Open.Three-time Metropolitan PGA Section Professional Champion. Winner, 2008, '13, '16 Metropolitan PGA Section Player of the Year. But with him winning the Qualifying Tournament, he got full privileges to play on the PGA Tour Champions Tour in 2022.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 PGA Tour Champions events with three top-ten finishes. He was 41st in the Schwab rankings and 41st on the money list, earning $539,173. In his first start on tour was T-26th at the Chubb Classic. In his fourth start at Rapiscan Systems Classic, he shot a final round 67 to finish T-5th, eight shots back of winner Steven Alker. It was Labritz's first top-five on the senior circuit. Two months later, at the U.S. Senior Open at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA., he shot three consecutive 69s. He went into the final round T-2nd, five shots back of Padraig Harrington and playing in the second-to-last group. Labritz struggled in the final round, making only one birdie and shooting 74 to finish T-4th, seven shots back of the winner Harrington. Labritz finished T-11th in his next start at the Senior Players Championship. Labritz finished his rookie season at the TimberTech Championship, finishing 49th.
2023 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour Champions events with three top-ten finishes. He was 36th in the Schwab rankings and 34th on the money list, earning $661,155. Finished T-4th at the Hoag Classic, two shots back of winner Ernie Els. Finished T-4th at the U.S. Senior Open for the second consecutive year. Shot 66-69 on the weekend after opening with 76-71 to finish five shots back of winner Bernhard Langer. Opened with rounds of 69-68 before closing with 71 to finish T-10th at the TimberTech Championship. After starting the week 36th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, his result clinched him the final spot into the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and fully exempt status for 2024. At the season ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship finished 29th.
2024 Notes: T-23rd at the Galleri Classic.
