Robert Garrigus

His father, Tom, won a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics and later was a coach of the U. S. Olympic shooting team. Robert took up golf after being urged by his grandfather.
Member of the Gateway Tour and Hooters Tour before playing on the Web.com Tour in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2005. Improved his status on the Web.com Tour money list each season from 156th (2002) to 81st (2004) to 69th (2005). Has played a total of 69 events on the Nationwide Tour with four top-ten finishes. Earned PGA Tour card for 2006 after finishing T-9th at 2005 Qualifying Tournament in his fifth attempt at the final stage.
2010 Notes: Picked up his first PGA Tour win, at the Children's Miracle Network Classic, in the season's final official event. Also runner-up in playoff at St. Jude Classic that year.
2011 Notes: Finished T-3rd in U.S. Open and joined Curtis Strange as the only two players in U.S. Open history to shoot four under-par rounds and not win. Runner-up at season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions after missing a three-foot par putt on the second playoff hole, losing to Jonathan Byrd. Finished career-best 74th in the FedExCup standings.
2012 Notes: Finished runner-up four times at Humana, Transitions, RBC Canadian and Children's Miracle. Also runner-up in unofficial CIMB Classic. Finished year 23rd in FedEx Cup standings and 20th on money list.
In 2013, finished T5th at the Farmers Insurance. Competed in the quarterfinals of WGC-Accenture Match Play before losing to eventual winner Matt Kuchar, 4 and 3, finishing at T5th.
