Stephanie Meadow

Meadow began playing golf at age 7, and she credits her dad for introducing her to the sport. She moved to the United States at age 14 to attend the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head Island, S.C. She won nine individual titles while playing on the International Junior Golf Tour, including the 2006 Irish Girls Closed Championship at age 14 - considered one of the most prestigious tournaments in Ireland for that age group. Named a second-team Rolex Junior All-American. Played in the 2009 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship (Round of 32) and the Women's Amateur (Round of 64). Won the gold medal in the 2009 European Girls Team Championship and the 2009 AJGA Cliffs Championship. Helped Ireland win the silver medal in the 2010 European Girls Team Championship. Played in the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur, making it to the Round of 64. She played in the 2011 Women's British Open and finished second in the European Individual Championships.
At the University of Alabama, she was selected as the SEC Freshman of the Year, first-team All-SEC, and first-team All-American by NGCA and Golfweek during her freshman campaign. Won the 2011 Lady Puerto Rico Classic, the Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, and NCAA East Regional. She set an Alabama record as a freshman with three wins and a school-best 72.15 average. Won the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SEC/PAC-12 Challenge and the 2012 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Captured the 2012 Ladies British Open Amateur Championship and represented Great Britain & Ireland in the Curtis Cup Match in the same year. Won the SEC Conference Individual Tournament in 2013, along with the Landfall Tradition. As a senior, she tied for fifth at the SEC Conference Championships and T-4th at the NCAA Division I Women's Individual Championships.
Finished the 2013 and 2014 collegiate seasons ranked No. 2 by Golfweek and Golfstat. Was a four-time Golfweek First-Team All-American. She was ranked as high as sixth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
She says her most memorable golf experiences were winning Alabama's first-ever NCAA Division I Women's Golf Team Championship in 2012 and the Curtis Cup for Great Britain and Ireland in 2012. When she's not playing golf, she enjoys shopping, working out, and cooking. She always keeps her 'lucky' Irish teddy bear in her golf bag. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
2014 Notes: She finished her senior year at Alabama as a first-team All-American for the fourth time and was SEC Player of the Year for the second time. She was also the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014 for the second year. She had the second-best scoring average in the NCAA at 71.22 and had the best par-3 scoring average. She won the Landfall Tradition and Lady Puerto Rico Classic. She was T-4th at the NCAA Championship, leading Alabama to a ninth-place finish. She was a member of the GB&I Curtis Cup Team for the second time, posting a 1-2-2 record, including a singles win over Alison Lee. She turned professional after the Curtis Cup and made her pro debut in the U.S. Women's Open with a third-place finish at Pinehurst. Meadow shot 69-69 on the weekend to finish three back of winner Michelle Wie. In her second professional start, she T-3rd in the Handa Ladies European Masters on the Ladies European Tour. Meadow tied a course record with a final-round 63 at Buckinghamshire Golf Club. She earned conditional status on the LPGA for 2015 by finishing T-18th at Qualifying School. She was the last player eliminated from the seven-woman playoff to determine the last three full cardholders. Meadow was one of three players to return to the course Monday to determine the final full card after darkness postponed the playoff Sunday. She was eliminated on Monday's fifth hole, the 11th extra hole of the tournament, when Karlin Beck holed out from 75 feet for a birdie.
2015 Notes: Played in 12 LPGA events and made just one cut, T-20th at the ANA Inspiration. Meadow's father died of pancreatic cancer in May 2015, and she won the LPGA's Heather Farr Perseverance Award for 2015.
2016 Notes: Meadow did not have full status on the LPGA in 2016 and made 5 cuts in 9 starts. She was T-31st at the Rio Olympics as a member of Ireland's golf team. She finished T-10th at the Canadian Pacific Women's Open one week after the Olympics. Finished 115th on the money list with $58,041.
2017 Notes: She played in 17 LPGA Tour events and only made three cuts: T-31st at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic, T-53rd at the LOTTE Championship, and T-39th at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. She suffered a back injury most of the year and did not regain her LPGA Tour card for 2018.
2018 Notes: Played in 21 events on the Symetra Tour, making 18 cuts. Had eight top-ten finishes, including a win at the IOA Championship. She finished 6th on the Symetra Tour money list with $70,617, earning her membership for the LPGA Tour in 2019.
2019 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA events and made ten cuts with one top-ten finish. She was 99th on the money list with $127,796 in earnings and was 99th on the CME points list. Best finish T-6th at the Volunteers of America Classic.
2020 Notes: Played in 15 LPGA events and made 13 cuts with one top-ten finish. She was 55th on the money list with $222,733 in earnings and was 42nd on the CME points list. Matched her career-best finish with a 3rd at the Pelican Women's Championship, five shots behind winner Sei Young Kim.
2021 Notes: Played in 20 LPGA events and made ten cuts with one top-ten finish. Was 92nd on the money list with $147,374 and was 100th on the CME points list. Was T-6th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Cristie Kerr.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events, making 18 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 66th on the money list with $373,874 in earnings and was 91st in CME points. Was T-10th at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and T-10th at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
2023 Notes: Played in 23 LPGA Tour events, making 13 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 43rd on the money list with $641,362 in earnings and was 72nd in CME points. Finished T-3rd at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, two shots back of the winner Ruoning Yin. She was T-8th at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
2024 Notes: Her best finish is 8th at the Blue Bay LPGA. She played at the Paris Olympics as a member of Ireland's women's golf team, finishing 39th. After missing the cut at the Handa Scottish Open, she shot 71 at Crail and won a 3 for 12 player playoff to qualify for the AIG Women's Open.
