Steve Lowery

An avid Alabama Crimson Tide football and Atlanta Braves baseball fan, Lowry received the 1995 Singleton Award as Outstanding Professional Athlete in Alabama. He enjoys quail hunting in south Alabama and snow skiing in Beaver Creek, Colo.
A full-time member of the PGA Tour from 1988 to 2010, he played in 599 events, made 382 cuts and recorded 65 top-10 finishes with three victories and nine runner-up finishes. On the Web.com Tour, he had made 29 career starts and 23 cuts, with eight top-10 finishes and a win in the 1992 Tulsa Open. He finished third on the money list in 1992, propelling him back onto the PGA Tour.
Began playing PGA Tour Champions events in 2010. In the last two events he finished T-21st in the Administaff Small Business Classic, then T-11th in the AT&T Championship.
2011 Notes: Made 20 starts in his PGA Tour Champions rookie season and had three top-10s. Flirted with the top of the leaderboard in the final round of the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach before eventually finishing T-5th after a final-round 73.
2012 Notes: In his 20 starts, he finished in the top-20 in two of those. Was T-14th in the Constellation Senior Players Championship in June and T-17th in the U.S. Senior Open.
2013 Notes: Had three top-25 finishes in 21 starts, and two of those were in the late summer when he was T-20th in the Boeing Classic and T-22nd the next week in the inaugural Shaw Charity Classic. Closed his year with a T-22nd in the AT&T Championship. Made one PGA Tour start in the Sanderson Farms Championship, missing the cut.
2014 Notes: After earning $164,493 and finishing 72nd on the 2013 money list, had the most productive year of his PGA Tour Champions career, earning $488,087 and finishing 37th on the final earnings' chart. Pocketed more money than in his previous two years combined. Had a trio of top-10 finishes, a first since 2011. Buoyed by a closing-round, 6-under 64 in the Shaw Charity Classic, he finished T-3rd in Calgary for his career-best PGA Tour Champions showing. His 64 matched his career-low round, and it came at the same venue where he shot his career-best round on the PGA Tour Champions a year earlier. Played in the last grouping at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, a first since the 2010 AT&T Championship. Dueled eventual-winner Bernhard Langer midway through the back nine before going double bogey and bogey on No. 14 and 15 at En-Joie G.C. to fall out of contention and T-4th.
2015 Notes: Thanks to a 12-under par effort over the weekend, he and teammate, Mark Calcavecchia, finished T-3rd in the Bass Pro Shop Legends of Golf. His second top-ten finish was in the Principal Charity Classic, where he finished T-10th with a final round 66. Was 61st on the money list and 53rd in the Charles Schwab Cup rankings.

2017 Notes: Competed in 15 events with just one top-25 finish which came in April was T-16th in the Bass Pro Shops Legends of golf with teammate Tim Petrovic. Finished 99th on the money list.
