During 2011, had painful right knee in which he had surgery on to repair a torn meniscus. He played in three events in 2012 and said that the knee needed more rehab because of swelling and pain. In order to give it proper rest, he didn't play again until the Memorial. Missed the cut at the Memorial, U.S. Open and Travelers Championship before he had to sideline his play for the rest of the year.
2013 Notes: Continued to have issues with a knee injury from 2012. In 12 PGA Tour starts, made five cuts, missed five cuts with one disqualification and one withdrawal. Missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in June and did not play again. Also played in for Web.Com Tour events. Around Thanksgiving time he jumped out of his boat onto a sandbar. He hit the bottom awkwardly and fractured the fibula in his left leg and tore ligaments in the left ankle.
2014 Notes: Wasn't able to start his season until April at RBC Heritage because of the accident the previous November. Made seven cuts in 13 PGA Tour starts and finished 169th in FedExCup standings, missing the Playoffs. After missing the cut in four of his first five starts, played his last eight events with just two missed cuts. Lone top-25 finish of the season was a T-11th at The Greenbrier Classic. Failed to regain exempt status for the 2015 PGA Tour season via the Web.com Tour Finals.
2015 Notes: Playing on the Web.Com Tour in his second start of the year at the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship finished 2nd, his first top 10 since 2011. At the Greater Dallas Open, finished T-5th.
