Player Notes: Two-time PGA Professional Champion (2000, 2003) returns for 14th career entry, first since 2010...has spent much of the last decade playing senior events in Europe (Staysure Tour), where he won five times, most recently the 2016 Swiss Senior Open...After turning 50, Thelen was the medalist at the European Seniors Tour Qualifying School in 2010. He finished 24th on the Tour's Order of Merit in 2011 and won his first Tour event at the 2012 Berenberg Bank Masters in Germany. He won his second event the following week at the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open...has played in 9 career PGA Championships: 2010, 2008, '07, '05, '02, '01, 2000, 1999...played college golf at Foothills Junior College and Houston Baptist University, where he was a teammate of Colin Montgomerie.
