Yealimi Noh

Her parents are South Korean immigrants who own a sushi restaurant in California. She became interested in golf when her father took her out on the course when she was 7, and started competing when she was 9.
Won the 2017 AJGA Girls Championship, beating Gina Kim by four shots. At the end of the year won the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship by three shots over Elizabeth Wang.
2018 Notes: Noh had a lot of amateur achievements and a great year. First, in April, I won the Hana Financial Group Se Ri Pak Junior Championship by 2 shots over Amari Avery. She then won the California Junior Championship, beating Madelyn Gamble in the finals. Two weeks later won the Girls Junior PGA Championship, topping Rose Zhang by four shots. A week after that, I won the U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur, beating Alexis Pano 4 & 3 in the finals. The win got her a spot on the USA Team in the Junior Ryder Cup, and she is thinking about turning pro. The next week, the Canadian Women's Amateur won by a shot over Dylan Kim. Her winning ways ended at the U.S. Women's Amateur when she was beaten in the Round of 32 by Bailey Tardy on the fifth extra hole. Then, she played in her first LPGA events, finishing T-46th at the CP Women's Open and T-59th at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.
2019 Notes: She had committed to attending UCLA but changed her mind and turned pro in February. She played in some Symetra Tour events and events in Korea, but Monday qualified for the Thornberry Creek Championship. In her first event, as a pro finished T-6th, she shot rounds of 63-65-69 and was six shots back of the winner, Shanshan Feng. She missed the cut at the Marathon Classic and the CP Women's Open, and at the Evian Championship, was T-44th. She again Monday qualified at the Cambia Portland Classic and, with rounds of 65-68-64, was in 1st place by three shots over Hannah Green. But in the final round, she shot 71 while her playing partner, Green, shot 67 to beat Noh by a shot. Noh lost the tournament when she made two bogeys on her last three holes. After that, she played a tournament in Japan and one in Korea before going to the LPGA Q-series and finishing 3rd to earn her LPGA Tour card.
2020 Notes: Played in 16 LPGA Tour events, making 15 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 25th on the money list with earnings of $415,307 and finished 14th on the CME points list. In her first three events before the break for COVID-19, her best finish was T-26th at the ISPS Handa Vic Open. During the break, she played in three events on the Korean LPGA, and her best finish was T-26th at the Lotte Cantata Ladies Open. Returned to the LPGA in August and a month later was T-3rd at the Cambia Portland Classic, a shot back of the Georgia Hall/Ashleigh Buhai playoff. She was T-2nd at the VOA Texas Shootout, just shots back of winner Angela Stanford.
2021 Notes: Played in 23 LPGA Tour events, making 20 cuts with three top-ten finishes. Finished 34th on the CME Points list and 27th on the money list with earnings of $708,162. Got off to a terrible start, in her first event at the Gainbridge LPGA, was fined $10,000 for slow play. In her first 13 events, Noh's best finish was T-15th at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She then went into a stretch where she was T-3rd at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner A Lim Kim. The next week was 3rd at the Amundi Evian Championship, a shot back of the Minjee Lee/Jeongeun Lee6 playoff. Was then T-7th at the Women's Scottish Open. She was named a captain's pick by Pat Hurst and played her first Solheim Cup, and was 2-1-0, beating Mel Reid in her singles match 1 up. Ended the season T-28th at the CME Group Tour Championship.
2022 Notes: Played in 28 LPGA Tour events, making 16 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was T-10th at the DIO Implant LA Open and Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner A. Lim Kim.
2023 Notes: Played in 18 LPGA Tour events, making nine cuts with one top-ten finish. Finished 119th on the CME Points list and 122nd on the money list with earnings of $119,200. Her best finish was T-8th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. After the season, she finished T-17th in the final of the LPGA Q-Series to regain full status on the LPGA Tour for 2024.
2024 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events, making 21 cuts with five top-ten finishes. Was 48th on the CME Points list and 48th on the money list with earnings of $826,470. Was T-9th at the Chevron Championship. T8th at the Dow Championship with partner A Lim Kim and T-9th at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Was 4th at the Buick LPGA Shanghai, seven shots back of the winner Ruoning Yin. Also T-4th at the Toto Japan Classic, two shots back of the Rio Takeda/Marina Alex playoff. She fInished T-25th in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
2025 Notes: Won for the first time in 111 LPGA Starts at the Founders Cup. Noh won by four shots over Jin Young Ko. Was T-7th at the HSBC Women's Champions, T-6th at the Ford Championship and T-5th at the Mizuho Americas Open.
