Yu Liu

Liu started playing golf at the age of 9 years old. She played one year of college golf at Duke and was a member of the 2014 NCAA Championship team. Liu was a second-team All-American in 2014 and was the ACC Freshman of the Year. She turned pro after the season.
Played on the Symetra Tour from 2015 to 2017. She was 5th on the Symetra Tour money list in 2017 to earn her promotion to the LPGA in 2018. She won the Tullymore Classic and had 3 runner-up finishes.
2018 Notes: Played in 27 LPGA Tour events making 21 cuts with three top-10 finishes. She was 3rd at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Shootout, finishing 2 shots back of winner Sung Hyun Park in the tournament that was rain-shortened to 36 holes. She was T-7th at the Ricoh Women's British Open. For the year earned $464,347, which placed her 49th on the money list. She was 34th in the Race to CME.
2019 Notes: Played in 28 LPGA Tour events making 26 cuts with seven top-ten finishes. Finished 20th on the money list with $880,048 in earnings. She was 18th on the CME points list. She was 2nd at the Bank of Hope Founders Cup, a shot back of winner Jin Young Ko. Liu missed a 15-foot putt on the last hole that would have forced a playoff. In back-to-back weeks was T-5th at both the U.S. Women's Open and ShopRite LPGA Classic. At the U.S. Women's Open was the co-leader going into the final round, were she shot 75 to finish three back of winner Jeongeun Lee6. She was T-3rd at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
2020 Notes: Played in 17 LPGA Tour events making 12 cuts with two top-ten finishes. She was 44th on the money list with $250,472 in earnings, she was 32nd on the CME points list. Was T-4th at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open and T-5th at the Marathon Classic
2021 Notes: Played in 23 LPGA Tour events making 17 cuts. She was 58th on the money list with $333,885 in earnings, she was 56th on the CME points list. She was T-11th at the ISPS Handa World Womans.
2022 Notes: Played in 25 LPGA Tour events making 15 cuts with one top-ten finished. She was 97th on the money list with $190,305 in earnings, she was 95th on the CME points list. She was T-10th at the DIO Implant LA Open. She ended her season finishing T-13th at the Pelican Womens Championship.
2023 Notes: She shot 64 in the final round of the Lotte Championship to finish T-2nd. She was tied with Yu Jin Sung and Grace Kim at 12-under 276 before losing to Kim on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff. She was a member of China's team at the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown and was 1-2 in the matches. Was T-9th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Ruixin Liu.
