Fully exempt into the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by way of her fourth-place finish on the 2011 Ladies European Tour money list.
Has played full time on the Ladies European Tour since 2002. Is married with one daughter born in spring of 2010.
In 2001, turned professional and attended LET Qualifying School at Aroeira in Portugal.
In 2004, won the Tenerife Ladies Open after a brilliant display in the final round to deny Becky Brewerton on the final hole. After that had some tougher times finishing 31st on the money list in 2005, 98 in 2006, 47th in 2007 and 29th in 2008.
In 2009, won the AIB Ladies Irish Open at Portmarnock Links, posting three rounds in the 60s. Claimed her third LET title at the SAS Ladies Masters at Larvik Golfklubb in Norway the following week. Posted three additional top ten finishes: second at the ABN AMRO Ladies Open, tied for second at the Open de Espana Femenino and was 8th at the S4/C Wales Ladies Championship. Was a member of the European Solheim Cup Team, where she went 1-0-1 (W-L-H) as a ??rookie? and won her singles match 3&2 against Nicole Castrale. Competing with Catriona Matthew halved her day-two four-ball match, earning 1.5 points in total. Diana finished the season ranked 6th on the Money List with earnings of ?185,911.21 from 17 events played.
In 2010, Luna didn't start her year until the Evian Masters late July after the arrival of her first daughter Elena. She played in six tournaments with her best finish 2nd at the Open de France Feminin at Paris International Golf Club where she was defeated by Trish Johnson at the first play-off hole.
In 2010 finished 64th on the money list, best finish was 2nd at Open de France Feminin.
In 2011, Luna won two titles on LET the UniCredit Ladies German Open, where she became the first ever player to play four bogey-free rounds to win a tournament on the LET and her overall score was 264, 24 under par. She also won Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open at Golf Gerre Losone. During the season, Luna recorded six additional top-10 finishes, including second place at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, where she lost to Felicity Johnson in a play-off at Paris International. She tied for seventh at the New Zealand Women's Open, tied for fifth at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open and Deloitte Dutch Ladies Open and was joint fourth at the Portugal Ladies Open. With season's earnings of 223,405.16 euro, she finished fourth on the Money List, the highest ever ranking by an Italian.
