Giulia Molinaro

Molinaro started playing golf at the age of 12. She credits her Italian coach Enrico Trentin, her coach from Arizona State, and her current coach Lance Gill for influencing her golf career. She was born in Italy but moved to Kenya when she was two months old so that her father could attend medical school to become an optometrist. On weekends, Molinaro and her family would travel 45 minutes to the African safari, making those trips to see the animals, which became a passion. She moved to the U.S. at age 16 and attended the Pendleton School in Bradenton, Fla.
She graduated from Arizona State in 2012. She was the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2012 and a first-team All-American.
2013 Notes: Played on the Symetra Tour. First professional win at the Friends of Mission Charity Classic. Captured four other top-10 finishes during the 2013 season. Finished 2nd in the Symetra Tour's Official Money List to earn Priority List Category 9 for the 2014 LPGA Tour season.
2014 Notes: Molinaro played in 18 events, making the cut in 8. Season-best finish of T-23rd at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Finished the season 114th on the money list.
2015 Notes: Played in 4 LPGA Tour events, making 1 cut (T-59th JTBC Founders Cup). Posted nine top-10 finishes on the Symetra Tour. Finished second on the Symetra Tour's money list.
2016 Notes: Molinaro competed in 19 events and made the cut in 7 events. Career-best finish of T-8th at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, she finished 100th on the money list. Represented Italy in the 2016 Rio Olympics, finishing T-53rd.
2017 Notes: Made 12 cuts of 19 LPGA events. Season-best finish T-16th at the LPGA Volvik Championship, she was 111th on the money list.
2018 Notes: Played in 16 LPGA Tour events making 7 cuts. Was 132nd on the money list with earnings of $49,316. Best finish T-20th at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. She had to leave the LPGA Tour in August to deal with a back injury. At the end of the year was T-39th at the LPGA Q-series, giving her status for 2019.
2019 Notes: Played in 14 LPGA events making 7 cuts. Was 94th on the money list with earnings of $134,318 and was 87th on the CME points list. Her best finish was 11th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, where she teamed with Stephanie Meadow. Best individual finish T-20th at the Cambia Portland Classic.
2020 Notes: Made one cut in 11 starts, T-70th at the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open.
2021 Notes: Was T-3rd at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, her career-best finish on the LPGA Tour. She was T-46th at the Toyko Olympics as a member of Italy's women's golf team.
