Hee Kyung Seo

Lost to So Yeon Ryu in a three-hole playoff at the 2011 U.S. Women's Open at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo.
In 2007, had five consecutive top-10 finishes on the Korea LPGA Tour.
In 2008, won six KLPGA events and finished first on the tour's money list to become fully exempt for the 2009 U.S. Women's Open, where she tied for 48th.
In 2009, tallied five wins on the KLPGA, including the MBC Tour Lotte Mart Ladies Open, Taeyoung Cup Korea Women's Open, Hite Cup Championship, KB Star Tour Grand Final and ADT CAPS Championship. Was also runner-up at the 2009 China Ladies Open.
In 2010, Seo had a season of transition. On the Korean tour, she collected 12 top-10s. But after huge seasons the previous two years, she was unable to win so much as a single event in Korea in 2010. She wound up 6th on the year-end money list. After a top five finish at the ANZ Ladies Masters in Australia, Seo was given a sponsor's invite to play the Kia Classic. She ended up winning the tournament despite the presence of almost all the top women golfers in the world. And she did it easily, claiming a six-shot margin over the field. Seo was the first sponsor's exemption to win on tour since Jin Joo Hong won in Korea back in 2006. But though she earned a tour card for 2011, Seo was reluctant at first to commit to playing in America. She had always planned to play in Japan for a few years before trying the LPGA. In the end, the card proved too much to refuse, and she accepted membership on the LPGA. Also tied for fifth at the Ricoh Women's British Open and tied for 21st at the Kraft Nabisco Championship as a non-member.
In 2011, Named Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year on the strength of three top-10 finishes including the playoff loss at the U.S. Women's Open. Also tied for sixth at the Avnet LPGA Classic and tied for fourth at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Presented by Banamex.
Began the 2012 season with a runner-up finish at the ISPS Handa Australian Open. Also finished runner up in the 2012 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic. Had another close call in a major this season when she held a three-shot lead in the final round of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, but she eventually finished tied for fourth.
In 2012, played in 25 events, 21 cuts made, $600,403 (22), tallied 8 top-10 finishes. Lost in 2 sudden-death playoffs, posting runner-up finishes at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic.
