Sherri Steinhauer

Fully exempt into the 2011 U.S. Women's Open by way of her victory at the 2006 Ricoh Women's British Open and top-70 finish on the 2010 LPGA money list (69th).
Credits Allan Mitchell, Pat Weis, Manuel de la Torre, Hank Johnson and her parents as individuals most influencing her career. Inducted into the Wisconsin State Golf Association Hall of Fame in 2004. Is a member of the LPGA Player Director Board for the 2009-11 seasons, serving as vice president for the 2009 Tour season. Her junior career is topped by her three consecutive wins at the Wisconsin State Junior Championship from 1978-80. In 1983, won the Women's Trans-National. 
Played collegiate golf at the University of Texas, where she claimed five victories and All-America honors in 1985. Also was named MVP in 1983 and 1985. Shared low-amateur honors at the 1983 U.S. Women's Open at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., where she tied for 40th.
Prior to joining the LPGA, played on the Futures Tour.
In 1985, qualified for the Tour by winning the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament (with Mary Murphy and Tammy Fredrickson) to earn exempt status for the 1986 LPGA season.
In 1986, her rookie season, best finish was 23rd at the United Virginia Bank Classic.
In 1987, best finish was a tie for sixth at the Henredon Classic.
In 1988, best finish was a tie for fourth at the Lady Keystone Open.
In 1989, best finish was a tie for fifth at the Chrysler-Plymouth Classic; posted her career-low score of 64 during the first round of the Women's Kemper Open; recorded the first ace of her LPGA career at the Orix Hawaiian Ladies Open.
In 1990, best finish was fourth place at the Planters Pat Bradley Invitational; tied her career-low score of 64 during the second round of the SAFECO Classic; recorded her second LPGA career hole-in-one during the Northgate Classic.
In 1991, best finish was third place at the Sara Lee Classic.
In 1992, became one of eight first-time winners when she won the du Maurier Classic, one of four LPGA major championships at the time.
In 1993, best finish was runner-up at both the Atlanta Women's Championship and the McDonald's Championship; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings with a tie for 10th at the du Maurier Classic.
In 1994, won her second-career title at the Sprint Championship; was a member of the victorious U.S. Solheim Cup Team.
In 1995, placed second on two occasions: Rochester International and Jamie Farr Toledo Classic.
In 1996, best finish was a tie for fourth at the Standard Register PING.
In 1997, best finish was fourth place at the Welch's Championship, where she also crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings; recorded her third LPGA career hole-in-one during the first round of the Safeway LPGA Golf Championship.
In 1998, won the Weetabix Women's British Open for her third LPGA victory; was one of Judy Rankin's two captain's picks for the U.S. Solheim Cup Team and holed the putt that clinched the Cup for the United States.
In 1999, won the Japan Airlines Big Apple Classic in a five-hole playoff over Lorie Kane; repeated as champion of the Weetabix Women's British Open; crossed the $3 million mark in career earnings at the Areaweb.com Challenge; lost in an LPGA record six-way playoff to Se Ri Pak at the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic.
In 2000, competed in 19 of the first 20 events of the season (missing only one week due to jury duty) and missed only one cut; best finish was a tie for third at the Evian Masters; tied her career-low 64 during the third round of the AFLAC Champions, where she finished eighth; qualified for her third U.S. Solheim Cup Team.
In 2001, best finish was a tie for fourth at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic.
In 2002, best finish was a tie for ninth at the Sybase Big Apple Classic Presented by Golf Magazine; captained the victorious U.S. Team at the inaugural PING Junior Solheim Cup, held in conjunction with the 2002 Solheim Cup in Minnesota.
In 2003, best finish was a tie for 17th at the Safeway Classic.
In 2004, won her sixth LPGA tournament, her first since 1999, at the Sybase Classic; crossed the $4 million mark in career earnings at the Office Depot Championship.
In 2005, recorded a season-best tie for 10th at the Safeway Classic; notched her fourth LPGA career hole-in-one during the second round of the Longs Drugs Challenge.
In 2006, won her second-career major and seventh LPGA title at the Weetabix Women's British Open, where she crossed the $5 million mark in career earnings; tied for second at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. 
In 2007, recorded her eighth LPGA career victory at the LPGA State Farm Classic; recorded four additional top-10 finishes; made her fourth appearance on the U.S. Solheim Cup Team, posting a 1-0-2 record for the victorious squad.
In 2008, best finish was a tie for 33rd at the Wegmans LPGA Championship.
In 2009, on March 31, announced that she would not compete in 2009 while recovering from surgery in mid-February on one hip and preparing for similar surgery on the other hip to be performed in May.
In 2010, came back from injury; tied for 12th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic; tied for 29th at the Safeway Classic.
