Corey Pavin

In 1977, he won the World Junior World Crown and the Los Angeles City Men's Amateur at age 17, the youngest player to win that event. Attended UCLA and won 11 tournaments, including the Pac-10 Conference Championship in 1982, and was a member of the 1981 USA Walker Cup Team.
After he turned professional and failed to get his Tour card, he went overseas and, in 1983, won the South African Open, the German Open, and the Culberson Classic in France. He earned his PGA Tour card for the 1984 season and won the 1984 Houston Coca-Cola Open. He collected $260,536 in his rookie season, which at the time was the most money ever won by a rookie. The following year, he won the Colonial National Invitation and won back-to-back Hawaiian Open titles (1986 and 1987). He added to his list of wins the Greater Milwaukee Open in 1986 and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in 1987, making a dramatic birdie putt on the final hole. After winning consistently for many years, he won his first major in the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.
A full-time member of the PGA Tour from 1984-09, playing 661 events and making 472 cuts, having 108 top-10 finishes with 17 runner-up finishes.
Member of 1991, 1993, and 1995 Ryder Cup Teams. He was Captain of the 2010 Ryder Cup Team in Wales.
In 2010, his first year on the Champions Tour, he finished runner-up at the Cap Cana Championship and the Senior British Open.
2011 Notes: Was among the top 20 on the Champions Tour money list for a second straight season and reeled off 24 consecutive scores of par or better from the Senior PGA Championship (T-8th) in late May through the third round of the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship (T-17th) in late August.
2012 Notes: Won the Allianz Championship and finished tied for runner-up in the U.S. Senior Open Championship. He also recorded six additional top-10 finishes, including a 4th-place finish in the Encompass Insurance Pro-Am of Tampa Bay. Had another five top-25 finishes in the season.
2013 Notes: They had eight top-10 finishes, with three runner-up finishes in six weeks. He was T-2nd in the 3M Championship, T-2nd in the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, and then lost a playoff to Mark Wiebe in the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship. Of his 19 starts, he finished in the top-25 13 times. They finished 14th on the money list with just over a million dollars.
2014 Notes: Dropped out of the top 30 on the final money list for the first time in his five-year Champions Tour career, slipping from 14th to 40th with earnings of $435,402. He had surpassed $1 million in earnings in the previous two years. He had just four top-10 finishes, four fewer than in 2013. His best finish came in June with a T-6th in the Constellation Senior Players Championship.
2015 Notes: Was T-5th with former UCLA teammate Duffy Waldorf in Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. He was one shot off the lead after the first round of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai before eventually finishing T-9th. Was a member of the Fox Sports on-air team for USGA telecasts.
2016 Notes: Underwent surgery for a torn tendon in his right elbow on May 26, which cut his season short after just eight events. He finished 72nd on the final money list. Their best finish was T-4th with teammate Duffy Waldorf in the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. He did not play an event after May's Insperity Invitational, where he withdrew after two rounds due to his elbow injury.
2017 Notes: Returned to action for the first time in 10 months following elbow surgery and finished T-49th in the Tucson Conquistadores Classic. They played in 19 events and were in the top 10 four times, with two runner-up finishes. He was 30th on the money list and 28th in Schwab Rank. Made a late run in Sunday's final round with teammate Duffy Waldorf in the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf, but the pair fell one short, finishing T-2nd, one shot behind Carlos Franco and Vijay Singh. He had his best showing in a major championship on the Champions tour when he used a third-round 6-under-par 65 to get himself into contention at the Senior Open Championship before eventually finishing 2nd to Bernhard Langer at Royal Porthcawl in Wales. He was T-4th at the SAS Championship.
2018 Notes: Played in 20 PGA Tour Champions events with two top-10 finishes. Was T-10th at the Senior PGA Championship with rounds of 69-70-68-68. It was the first time he recorded four under-par rounds in a major since the 2014 Constellation Senior Players Championship. Pavin had his second-straight top-10, finishing T-6th at the weather-shortened Principal Charity Classic. Finished T-15th at the first playoff event, the Dominion Energy Charity Classic advancing to the Invesco QQQ Championship but withdrew, finishing 54th in the standings.
2019 Notes: Played in 22 PGA Tour Champions events with four top-ten finishes. He was 45th in the final Schwab Rankings. T-10th Oasis Championship, shooting 66 in the final round. Was T-8th at the Senior PGA Championship and T-5th at the Principal Charity Classic. He was T-8th at the Shaw Charity Classic.
2020 & 2021 Notes: Played in 30 PGA Tour Champions events with one top-ten finish. He was 73rd in the final Schwab Rankings. Best finish T-10th at the 2020 Charles Schwab Cup Championship. He ended his season in the 2021 SAS Championship finishing T-39th.
2022 Notes: Played in 21 PGA Tour events with one top-ten finish. It was 64th in the Schwab rankings and 64th in the money race, with earnings of $230,654. He finished T-10th at the season-opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. He was T-39th in his last event of the season, Dominion Energy Charity.
2023 Notes: Besst finished T-18th in the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.
