Older brother, Brad, is also a member of the PGA Tour Champions, and are one of only 12 winning brother combinations on the PGA Tour.
Played full-time on the PGA Tour in 1991, 1992, 1995 and 1996, and again from 2002 to 2012. In 317 starts, he won three times, was runner-up twice and had 16 top-10 finishes. He made 197 starts and earned a total of $9.7 million. Also played on the Web.com Tour in 1993.
1993 Web.com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 21; rank on money list - ninth; top-10 finishes - one; stroke average - 72.33 (82nd); money earned - $10,255 (ranked 108th); best finish - T10 at the Yuma Open.
Throughout his time on the Web.Com Tour, he played in 43 events with five top 10s. His best finish was T-5th at the 1990 Dakota Dunes Open. He earned a total of $77,616.
Bryant underwent rotator cuff surgery in 1992, and in 2001 missed the first half of the season due to elbow surgery. Suffered a wrist injury near the end of the 2009 season and had a pair of subsequent surgeries that kept him out of action for almost three years. He returned midway through the 2012 season.
2013 Notes: Started the year playing at the PGA Tour Sony Open in Hawaii, where he finished T-41st. Finished T-33rd in his PGA Tour Champions debut at the Allianz Championship. Was a late addition to the field at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf in April, and after being added just one day before the start of the event, he teamed with Ian Baker-Finch to win the Raphael Division crown. The pair went three extra holes before Baker-Finch's 10-foot birdie putt ended the playoff against Blaine McCallister and Keith Fergus in Savannah, Ga. Finished 18th on the money list thanks to 10 top-10 finishes.
2014 Notes: Was among the top-10 finishers in more than a third (eight) of his 22 starts, but he did not have a performance better than fifth place in any event. Played his best golf in the first half of the season and, in one stretch, was among the top seven in four of seven starts. In late May, he was a co-leader after 36 holes of the Senior PGA Championship and was in contention early on the front nine Sunday, before eventually finishing T-5th at Harbor Shores - his best finish of the year along with a fifth-place finish at the Encompass Championship. He finished the year 25th in the Schwab Rankings.
2015 Notes: After opening his year with a pair of T-9th finishes at the Mitsubishi Electric and Allianz Championship, he lost to Lee Janzen in a playoff at the ACE Group Classic. He made another bid for a victory in his next start at the Tucson Conquistadores Classic in March, trailing Marco Dawson by just one shot after 36 holes. He closed with a 2-under-par 70, but fell two strokes short Sunday for his second straight runner-up finish. Added two more top-10s, T-10th at the Greater Gwinnett Championship and T-4th at the Encompass Championship. Was 20th on the money list and 25th in the Schwab rankings.
2016 Notes: Teamed with his brother, Brad, to finish T-4th at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf. Started a streak of four straight top-11 finishes with a T-11th at the Principal Charity. Next week was T-7th at the Constellation Senior Players. He was leading the American Family Insurance Championship through 14 holes, but made a triple bogey at 15 and finished T-2nd and two back of winner Mike Goodes. Was T-8th in next his start at Dick's Sporting Goods Open. Lost a playoff to Jay Haas finishing runner-up at the Toshiba Classic. In 19 events played was 25th on the money list and 27th on the Schwab ranking.
2017 Notes: Played just 15 events, fewest he has played in a season on Tour. Did not have a top-10 finish for the first time in his career. His best finish of the season was in June when he was T-13th at the American Family Insurance Championship, an event he nearly won a year earlier. Finished 68th in the final money ranking, the first time he had been out of the top-25 of the money list since joining the tour in 2013. The reason for his poor season was the passing of his wife of 34 years Cathy, who died on April 5th after losing an 11-month battle with brain cancer.
2018 Notes: Played in 16 PGA TOur Champions events with three top-ten finishes Had his best finish in 18 months with a T-2nd finish at the Insperity Invitational, losing by a shot from Bernhard Langer. Was T-6th at the Constellation Senior Players. Made a 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole in the final round to win the Dick's Sporting Goods Open by a shot over Michael Bradley. Advanced to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship for the fifth time in his career and finished 34th in the standings.
2019 Notes: Best finish T-13th at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf with his partner/brother Brad Bryant. Best individual finish T-17th Japan Championship.
