A Lim Kim turned pro as a teenager in late 2013. She played on the Dream Tour in Korea for the next two years, finally qualifying for the KLPGA in 2016. She finished 47th on the KLPGA money list that year and 49th on tour in 2017.
2018 Notes: Played in 25 Korean LPGA events, making 20 cuts with 11 top-ten finishes. She was 6th on the money list with won586,399,334 ($508,873). She won the Se Ri Pak Invitational and was 2nd at the E1 Charity Open and Doosan Match Play Championship. Finished 3rd at NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship.
2019 Notes: Played in 29 Korean LPGA events, making 25 cuts with 8 top-ten finishes. She was 11th on the money list with won528,685,936 ($458,789). She won the MY Munyoung Queens Park Championship, 2nd at the OKSavingsBank Se Ri Pak Invitational, and 3rd at the BC Card Hankyung Ladies Cup & NEXEN Saint Nine Masters.
2020 Notes: She played in 18 Korean LPGA events making 17 cuts with four top-ten finishes. She was 21st on the money list with won187,576,207 (162,777). Best finish was 5th at the Hana Financial Group Championship. Playing in her first major and for the first time in a professional event in America, she won the U.S. Women's Open. Kim shot a final-round 67, including birdies at the final three holes, to beat Amy Olson and Jin Young Ko by a shot. After 54 holes, she was T-9th, five shots back of leader Hinako Shibuno, so she recorded the largest 54-hole comeback in U.S. Women's Open history. She was 94th in the Rolex rankings, the worst-ranked champion of the U.S. Open, and 30th after the victory. With the victory, she was offered membership with the LPGA Tour, which she accepted.
2021 Notes: Played in 23 events on the LPGA Tour, making 15 cuts with four top-ten finishes. She was 52nd on the money list with $410,662 and 59th in CME points. Finished T-10th at the LOTTE Championship, T-3rd at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Yealimi Noh, T-6th at the Cognizant Founders Cup, and T-3rd at the BMW Ladies Championship, five shots out of the Jin Young Ko/Hee Jeong Lim playoff.
2022 Notes: Played in 29 LPGA Tour events, making 27 cuts with four top-ten finishes. She was 40th on the money list with $747,851 in earnings and was 39th in CME points. On the KLPGA Tour, won the Creas F&C KLPGA Championship. On the LPGA Tour, she was T-9th at the HSBC Women's World Championship and T-10th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational with partner Yealimi Noh. She was 5th in the CP Women�s Open, three shots back of the winner Paula Reto. Two weeks later was T-5th in the Kroger Queen City Championship. Finished 51st in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
2023 Notes: Played in 22 LPGA Tour events, making 19 cuts with three top-ten finishes. She was 32nd on the money list with $880,260 in earnings and was 33rd in CME points. She was the second-round leader at the Chevron Championship, shot 72-72 to finish T-4th, two shots back of the Lilia Vu/Angel Yin playoff. She was T-3rd at the Amundi Evian Championship, seven shots back of the winner Celine Boutier. Shot a final round 66 to finish T-4th at the Freed Group Women's Scottish Open, four shots back of the winner Celine Boutier. She was T-16th in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.
2024 Notes: Was T-9th at the Chevron Championship and T-8th at the Dow Championship with partner Yealimi Noh.
