Briny Baird

Also played in the 2001, 2004 and 2009 U.S. Opens, tying for 40th in 2001.
Best finish this year on PGA Tour is a tie for fifth at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in late February.

Beginning in 2003, in cooperation with Canon U.S.A. Inc., and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), placed a photo of a local missing child on his golf bag at every PGA Tour event to raise awareness of missing children in the United States. As an additional component of Canon4Kids, for each birdie registered by Baird, Canon donates $100 to NCMEC, with additional donations for eagles and aces.
Father, Butch Baird, was a member of the Champions Tour. Butch played in a number of U.S. Opens, including in 1976 at Atlanta Athletic Club, where he tied for fourth. Butch also played in numerous U.S. Senior Opens.
Says his biggest thrill in golf was â?repeating as Division II champion and ending amateur career with a win.â? Was MVP of high school soccer team. Enjoys fishing.
