Chanettee Wannasaen

She got her first taste of fame as a 16-year-old schoolgirl who upstaged both male and female players at the Thailand Mixed presented by Trust Golf. She opened with rounds of 65 and was the second-round leader.
Wannasaen turned professional in 2021. She won the national qualifier tournament to play in the Honda LPGA Thailand twice in 2021 and 2022. She was T-57th in the 2021 Honda LPGA Thailand and T-47th at the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand.
2022 Notes: Wannasaen won six tournaments in Thailand, including a hat-trick win for the first three Thailand Mixed Series events. On 8 July, she won the Trust Golf Links Series on the LET Access Series at Ramside Hall Golf Club in Durham, England. She shot a career-best and course-record 64 in the second round. Three weeks later, she finished T-24th at the Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open on the LPGA Tour and earned a place in the AIG Women's Open. She finished T-6th in the finals of 2022
LPGA Q Series to gain her LPGA Tour card for 2023.
2023 Notes: Played in 21 LPGA events, making 11 cuts with one top-10 finish. She was 51st in the CME rankings and 73rd on the money list, earning $387,585. At the age of 19, Wannasaen, as a Monday qualifier, got her first win on the LPGA Tour at the Portland Classic after shooting a career-low, bogey-free round of 9-under 63 in the final round to win by four shots over China's Lin Xiyu. In the final round, she made seven birdies and also an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole, shooting a 30 on the front nine and 33 on the back nine at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon. She set the new tournament scoring record by five shots with a 26-under 262 total and became the third qualifier to win on the tour, the first since Canada's Brooke Henderson won the same event in 2015. Before winning the title, she was ranked 367th in the Women's World Golf Rankings, having missed nine straight cuts and made only two cuts before in her rookie season. Following the event, her world ranking improved 315 places to No. 52. In her last nine events she made eight cuts and her best finish was T-13th at the Maybank Championship.
2024 Notes: Shot a final round 65 to finish T-3rd at the Mizuho Americas Open, four shots back of the winner Nelly Korda. Wannasaen chalked up her second LPGA Tour victory at the Dana Open to win by one shot over Hae Ran Ryu. Wannasaen had total control with a five shot lead going into the final nine holes, but a charging Hae Ran Ryu shaved the lead and Wannasaen won thanks to birdies at 17 and 18 hole. With the win she climbed to 33rd in the World Golf Rankings.
