David Hearn

Grew up five blocks from Wayne Gretzky's home in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Made it to the Round of 16 at the 1999 U.S. Amateur. Won the 1997 Ontario Match Play Championship. Teamed with Jon Mills to lead the Canadian Team to the title at the Four Nations Cup. Named All-Mountain West Conference during his senior season at the University of Wyoming. Winner of two collegiate tournaments.
2004 Web.Com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 12; in money - 8; top-10 finishes - 5; stroke average 69.90 (ranked 2nd); money $161,706 (ranked 35th); Winner, Alberta Classic. Rookie on the 2005 PGA Tour after making it through the 2004 Qualifying Tournament in his fourth try and first trip to the final stage, where he finished T-21st. Unfortunately finished 196th on the PGA Tour money list in 2005 losing his card.

2011 Notes: Earned $339,684 in his last four events in 2011 which move him to 104th on the money list and retain his card for 2012. His best finishes were T-5 at Justin Timberlake and T-7th at Frys.com Open.
2012 Notes: A pair of 10th-place finishes in Sony Open in Hawaii and The Barclays were his best finishes of the year. Finished 68th in the FedEx Cup race and 97th in the money race, had his best year yet winning $1,012,575.
2013 Notes: Made 18 of 26 cuts on Tour, with two top-10s. Finished No. 56 in the final FedExCup standings and 75th in the money race. First top-10 was T-8th at the Puerto Rico Open, in July posted four rounds in the 60s at the John Deere Classic to force sudden death with defending champion Zach Johnson and Jordan Spieth. Lost with a bogey on the fifth extra hole to Spieth's par, good enough for his career-best finish. Finished T-8th at the Handa World Cup as an individual at Royal Melbourne GC in late November 2013. Teamed with Brad Fritsch to finish fifth in the team competition for Canada.
2014 Notes: Made 20 of 28 cuts on Tour, with three top-10s, best finish T-6th at the Honda Classic and Players Championship. Advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Ended season with a T-43rd finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship so was 74th in the final rankings and 92nd on the money list.
2015 Notes: Had a pair of top-tens, first T-7th at Shriners Hospitals, then T-6th at the Zurich Classic before he came close to winning his first event on the PGA Tour. Shot rounds of 68-64-68-67 but it wasn't enough as he found himself in a four man playoff. Made it to the second hole but lost to Danny Lee. It was his second runner-up finish in his career, lost a playoff to Jordan Spieth at 2013 John Deere. In the Canadian Open came close to winning his national championship, led going into the final round before shooting 72 to finish two back of Jason Day and 3rd.
