Hayden Buckley

His earliest golf memory is hitting with plastic clubs in his grandfather's yard. He was swinging left-handed and was promptly yelled at to turn around to the right side. Despite not being heavily recruited in high school, Buckley signed with the University of Missouri, where he enjoyed four college wins. By his senior year, he was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, a third-team All-American, and named the Missouri Male Athlete of the Year for the 2017?18 season. Is interested in Southeast Asian cultures after visiting the continent during college. Spent two weeks in China teaching kids English and sharing his passion for golf.
Buckley turned professional in 2018. In 2019, he played in all 12 PGA Tour Canada events, making 11 cuts and registering six top-10 finishes. Buckley claimed his first career Mackenzie Tour victory at the ATB Financial Classic and a sixth-place finish on the Order of Merit to earn a Korn Ferry Tour membership.
2020/21 Notes: Played in 35 Korn Ferry Tour events making 22 cuts with five top-ten finishes. Best finish was winning the 2020 LECOM Suncoast Classic, with a birdie on the first playoff hole to beat Dawson Armstrong and Taylor Montgomery. Had a pair of top-10s in the three 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Finals events and finished 7th among The Finals 25 as he secured his first PGA Tour card. Also finished 32nd on the 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season Points list off the strength of a win and a T-2nd. Finished the 2020-21 season with 12 top-25s in 35 starts.
2022 Notes: Played in 30 PGA Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 104th in the FedExCup rankings. Finished T-4th at the Sanderson Farms Championship in his fifth career start finishing 2 shots back of the winner sam Burns, recording his first career top-10. The next week finished T-8th at the Shriners Children's Open shooting a final round 63. Open the U.S. Open with a pair of 68 and stood T-3rd after 36 holes . Shot 75-71 over the weekend to finish T-14th. In the FedExCup playoffs was T-61st at the FedEx St. Jude.
2023 Notes: Was T-5th at the Zozo Championship, three shots back of winner Keegan Bradley. Held a two-shot lead entering the final round of the Sony Open in Hawaii and went on to finish 2nd a shot back of winner Si Woo Kim, earning the first runner-up of his career. Was T-5th at the RBC Heritage three shots back of the Matt Fitzpatrick/Jordan Spieth playoff.
