In 2005 went from journeyman to U.S. Open contender, to three-time winner on the Web.Com Tour, to PGA Tour champion in the span of three months. At the U.S. Open shot 71-67 to co-lead and with a 72 in the third round was 2nd and in the final group with Retief Goosen. Shot 84 in the final round to drop down to T-49th. Became second player in PGA Tour history to win on Web.Com Tour and on PGA Tour in same season (Paul Stankowski/1996). First sponsor exemption to win since Adam Scott at the 2003 Deutsche Bank Championship and first Web.Com Tour player who was promoted to the PGA Tour via three wins to win on the PGA Tour in that same season. Finished the season No. 88 in the Official World Golf Ranking after beginning the season No. 668.
Played on the PGA Tour between 2006 and 2010, he finished 205th in the FedExCup rankings in 2010 and finished T-41st to not regain his PGA Tour card meaning a return to the Web.Com Tour.

Finished T-2nd, one back of champion Carlos Ortiz. In three Finals' starts, had a T-41st, a T-14th and a third-place showing at the season-ending Web.com Tour Championship, which featured a pair of 69s wrapped around middle rounds of 65-66.
2015 Notes: Played in 26 events and made the cut in 12, with 2 top-10s. Was T-10th at the Travelers Championship and 2nd at the Wyndham Championship. With his good finish climbed from 166th in the FedEx Cup race to 98th which allowed him to particpate in only his second FedExCup playoffs (Played in 2007). Finished T-30th at the Barclays and missed the cut at Deutsche Bank Championship to finish 92nd in the final FedExCup rankings and 92nd on the money list.
2016 Notes: Best finish T-11th at the Valspar Championship.
