Peter Whiteford

wice a Challenge Tour graduate â?? in 2007 and 2009 â?? the 2010 campaign proved that he had learned from his previous experience on The European Tour by occupying 86th position in The Race to Dubai. A year earlier, saved his best for last when claiming the biggest win of his career at the Challenge Tour's season-ending Apulia San Domenico Grand Final. In 2007, he produced one of the outstanding individual performances of the Challenge Tour season, shooting a nine under par 63 in testing third round conditions en route to his maiden victory at the Dutch Futures. Became the eighth double winner of the 2007 Challenge Tour season by taking the doc Salbe PGA European Challenge a fortnight later to win a place on The European Tour for the first time. Represented Scotland Boys and Youths before turning professional in 2002. Won on the Europro Tour and spent four seasons on the Challenge Tour before making his breakthrough. His brother, Stewart, is also a professional and shared a college dormitory with South Africa's Tim Clark at North Carolina State University.
