Scott Stallings

Stallings was born in Worcester, Mass. He attended Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and was an all-state golfer and a four-year member of the Dean's List. He attended Tennessee Tech, where he was a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, winning seven tournaments, and was named an All-American in 2006.
Says if he wasn't a professional golfer, he'd want to be a pediatrician. After turning professional, played on both the NGA Hooters Tour and the Tarheel Tour in 2008-09. Made the cut in 11 of 14 starts on the Hooters Tour in 2009 with nine top-25 finishes. Played the Knoxville Open in 2007 and missed the cut. In 2008, got into the Chattanooga Classic and in his second start on the Web.com Tour, finished T-14th after starting the event with rounds of 64-62. Weekend rounds of 73-76 dropped him down. Played in Chattanooga again in 2009, and missed the cut. At the end of the year, just missed qualifying for the PGA Tour by a shot, thus getting his Web.com Tour card.
2010 Web.com Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 28; Rounds played - 94; in money - 19; top-10 Finishes - 9; Scoring Average - 70.35 (ranked T-55th); money $127,606 (ranked 53rd); best finish: T-5th, Chiquita Classic. At the end of the year, finished T-11th at Q-School, getting his PGA Tour card for 2011.
2011 Notes: In rookie year, had a win at The Greenbrier, beating Bob Estes and Bill Haas in a playoff. Also had a 3rd place showing in 28 starts. Spent the year blogging for BNET, the CBS Interactive Business Network.
2012 Notes: Won for the second time at the True South Classic in July. More good news: He announced to television crews and the crowd the pregnancy of his wife with their first child. Stallings told his wife, Jennifer, that if he won, he was going to announce the news a week before originally planned. A week later in Canada, posted his PGA Tour career-low round of 7-under 63 in the third round to claim a T-7th at the RBC Canadian Open.
2013 Notes: Started season T-4th at Humana Challenge. A couple of weeks later, his wife delivered son, Bradley, in February. At end of May, posted back-to-back T-4th finishes at the Crowne Plaza Colonial and The Memorial. Followed those performances with a T-2nd at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Finished 28th in the FedExCup race and 54th in the money race.
2014 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 12 cuts. He had one top-10, a win at the Farmers Insurance Open by a shot over Jason Day, Marc Leishman, Pat Perez, Graham DeLaet and K.J. Choi. Was 84th in the FedExCup race.
2015 Notes: Played in 19 PGA Tour events making 11 cuts. Had one top-10, a 2nd place finish while defending his title at the Farmers Insurance Open, losing in a playoff to Jason Day. Was 129th in the FedExCup race. His year was shortened after the Greenbrier Classic when he was suspended three months for violating the PGA Tour Anti-Doping Policy's ban.
2016 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour events making 11 cuts. Had one top-10, a T-9th at the RSM Classic, he finished 128th in the FedExCup race.
2017 Notes: Played in 27 PGA Tour events making 14 cuts. Had three top-10s, T-3rd at the Barbasol Championship, T-5th at the John Deere and 8th at the CareerBuilder Challenge. Was 101st in the FedExCup race.
2018 Notes: Was 7th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am, next week was T-4th at the Genesis Open three back of winner Bubba Watson.
