Taylor Pendrith

Pendrith attended Kent State University from 2010 to 2014, playing with PGA Tour winner and fellow Canadian Corey Conners. When he lost in the Round of 64 at the 2014 U.S. Amateur at the Atlanta Athletic Club, Penrith picked up Conners' bag and helped him reach the championship match, where he fell to Gunn Yang. Pendrith was an outstanding basketball player in high school. He made the cut in the 2014 Canadian Open and was the low amateur finishing T-43rd. He was part of the Canadian team that finished second, behind the United States, in the 2014 Eisenhower Trophy.
Penrith turned professional in late 2014 after the Eisenhower Trophy.
Penrith played primarily on the Canadian Tour from 2017 to 2019.
2016 Notes: Played in 20 Korn Ferry Tour events making six cuts with one top-ten finish, T-4th at the Colombia Championship. He was 96th on the money list.
He had very little success in 2017 and 2018, but in 2019 he was runner-up in the Osprey Valley Open and then won the 1932byBateman Open and Mackenzie Investments Open to finish second in the Order of Merit, earning a place on the Korn Ferry Tour.
2020/21 Notes: Earned his first PGA Tour card as he finished the 2020-21 combined season 7th on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List with four runner-up finishes and 21 top-25s across 37 starts. He also finished 5th on the Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season Points List. Three of the four runner-up finishes came in three consecutive starts at the 2020 TPC San Antonio Challenge at the Canyons, the 2020 TPC San Antonio Championship at the Oaks, and the 2020 Pinnacle Bank Championship. One of three members of The 25 who earned a PGA Tour card without a victory.
His performances on the Korn Ferry Tour earned him a place at the 2020 U.S. Open, where he finished T-23rd after a final round of 70.
2022 Notes: Played in 21 PGA Tour events making 16 cuts with three top-ten finishes. It was 47th in the FedExCup rankings. He held the outright lead after the second and third rounds of the Bermuda Championship before finishing T-5th, three shots back of winner Lucas Herbert. It was his first top-10 on the PGA Tour. While warming up at the Players Championship, Pendrith suffered a rib fracture. It's a painful injury; doctors told him it would take a few months to recover. Pendrith tried to play in the RBC Canadian Open, but it was too painful to play. He tried to return at the John Deere Classic a month later, but a positive COVID test stopped that. He was able to play in the Barbasol Championship, his first event in four months. He finished T-13th, and the following week was T-11th at the Barracuda Championship. He took a week off and returned to the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He held a share of the lead after each of the first three rounds and shot 72 in the final round to finish T-2nd, five shots back of winner Tony Finau. He was T-13th at the Wyndham Championship. In the FedExCup playoffs was 68th at the FedEx St. Jude and ended the season with a T-8th finish at the BMW Championship. He was named to the International Team at the 2022 Presidents Cup via captain's pick and lost all four matches. He was beaten in the singles by Tony Finau 3 & 1.
2023 Notes: Was T-7th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am.
