Tim Wilkinson

Wilkinson first learned the game when he would hit a six-iron around the playground at the school he grew up at. By the age of 15, he shot under par.
After turning professional in 2003, Wilkinson has spent the bulk of his career playing on the PGA and Web.com tours. In his career on the Web.com Tour, Wilkinson played 159 events, making the cut in 103 of them. He has finished inside the top-25 52 times, has 20 top-10 finishes and scored three top-3 results in his lengthy career. His best finishes came at the Oregon Classic Presented by Kendall Automotive Group, where he finished T-2nd in 2005 and 3rd in 2006. In 2013, he earned 2nd at the Stadion Classic at UGA, his best career finish on the tour.
Wilkinson made his PGA Tour debut in 2003 but missed the cut in the lone event he played in. He missed the cut in 2004 as well. He did not play on the PGA Tour again until 2008, when he logged 28 results, finishing in the money in 17 of them. That year, his best as a pro, he notched five top-25 results and three inside the top 10 including a 3rd at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and T-2nd at the Valero Texas Open. He accrued $1,167,607 in 2008.
In 2009, he played just 14 events, making six cuts. He finished in the top 10 once, 6th at the Verizon Heritage.
The struggles continued in 2010 as he made just five cuts in 15 tries. He scored one top-25 finish.
A career rejuvenation of sorts brought Wilkinson back to the PGA Tour in 2014 when he made 18 cuts in 25 events. He earned three finishes in the top 10 and six in the top 25. He finished T-7th at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and T-8th at the Barracuda Championship. He finished 119th in the FedExCup race.
2015 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 8 cuts with one top 25, T-22nd RBC Canadian Open. Finished 184th in the FedExCup race. In the Web.com Tour Finals, made all four cuts. Was T-22nd at the Hotel Fitness Championship, T-56th at the Small Business Commection, T-9th at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship and T-24th at the Web.Com Tour Championship. With that finished 26th on the Finals money list and 40th on the priority list retaining his PGA Tour card.
2016 Notes: Played in 22 PGA Tour events making 14 cuts. Had one top-ten, finished T-4th at the AT&T Byron Nelson, and has 3 other top-25 finishes. Was 132nd in the FedExCup race so it was back to the Web.Com Tour finals. Was T-33rd at the DAP Championship, T-48th at the Albertsons Boise Open and T-12th at the Nationwide Children's finishing 50th on the Priority list to retain his PGA Tour card for 2017.
2017 Notes: Played in 22 PGA Tour events making 14 cuts. Best finish was T-14th at the Zurich Classic and Wyndham Championship. Was 156th in the FedExCup race thus returning to the Web.Com Tour finals. This year he missed 3 of 4 cuts and his 47th finish at the Nationwide Children's wasn't enough to retain his PGA Tour card, meaning he will play 2018 on the Web.Com Tour.
