Derek Bard

A senior at the University of Virginia, Bard is no stranger to performing in prominent events. Bard has top-10 finishes at the Junior PGA Championship in 2011 and 2012, and a top-20 at the U.S. Junior Amateur.
He qualified for the U.S. Amateur multiple times and was the runner-up in 2015, losing to Bryson DeChambeau in the finals at Olympia Fields, 7 & 6. On his way to the finals, he defeated Walker Cup player Hunter Stewart in the round of 16, then Jon Rahm, the No.1 amateur, in the quarterfinals. He reached the round of 32 in the 2014 U.S. Amateur.
Bard won the 2015 Sunnehanna Amateur and he took medalist honors at the U.S. Collegiate Championship in 2014 and 2015, representing the University of Virginia. Bard is a multi-time All-ACC selection for the Cavaliers and finished his junior year with 14 top-10 finishes, placing him 6th in school history in that distinction.
Bard qualified for The Masters in 2016, but missed the cut by just three strokes. He was also selected to represent the U.S. in the 2016 Palmer Cup, set for late June.
