Kohki Idoki

In 2013, at Bellerive Country Club outside St. Louis, he became Japan's first male player to capture a U.S.-based major championship, winning the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Followed Japan's Noboru Sugai, the 2003 Senior British Open Champion, as the only two Japanese male golfers to win a major on any tour. In 2013, Idoki finished with a 65 for a two-stroke victory over Jay Haas and Kenny Perry, who started the round with a five-stroke advantage. Perry still led by three stokes with six holes left to play. Idoki finished at 11-under par. Climbed into contention with four birdies and no bogeys on the front nine, and added two more birdies on the back nine to surpass Perry and Haas.
2013 Notes: Earned a majority of his earnings in his first four starts and finished 32nd on the final money list in his 12 starts. Became the first player to win the event in his first try since Michael Allen did so four years earlier. Finished 13th at The Senior Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in July. Later added a T-23rd at the U.S. Senior Open in Omaha, Neb.
Won two Japan PGA Tour events in 1990 and 1993 and captured the 2012 FujiFilm Senior, his first JPGA Senior Tour victory. Became a Japan Senior Tour member in 2011. When he was playing regularly on the Japan PGA Tour, Idoki led that tour in driving accuracy for 10 years.
2014 Notes: Played in 12 events, including a T-22nd at The Principal Charity Classic, his best finish of the season.
2015 Notes: Played in just four events during the year with his best finish coming when he closed with a 4-under-par 66 to finish T-20th at the U.S. Senior Open. Was T-39th at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai and T-4th0 at the Senior Open Championship. Missed the cut at the Senior PGA Championship.
2016 Notes: Only played in four events, best was T-23rd at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.
2017 Notes: Played in 6 PGA Tour Champions events, best finish was T-37th at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.
2018 Notes: Just played once, T-37th at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.
2019 Notes: Just played once missing the cut at the Senior PGA Championship.
