Alejandra Llaneza

Born and raised in Mexico City, Llaneza began playing golf at age 6. She was a five-time Mexican Junior National champion and a member of the 2008 Mexican National Team at the World Amateur Golf Team Championship. She played golf at the University of Arizona and was named a 2008 Pac 10 Conference Honorable Mention. She won the 2011 Cactus Tour event at Wigwam and was a member of the Symetra Tour in 2012.
2012 Notes: Played in 16 events on the Symetra Tour, making 14 cuts with one top-10 finish at the Tate & Lyle Players Championship, where she finished T-10th. Finished 48th on the money list.
2013 Notes: Played in 13 events on the Symetra Tour, making 13 cuts with five top 10s. She finished 17th in money rankings, and her best finish was second at the IOA Golf Classic. She made two cuts in three starts on the 2013 LPGA Tour, including T-31st at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico.
2014 Notes: Was 105th on the money list with $66,065 and 103rd in CME points with seven cuts made in 15 starts. Her best finish was T-12th at Kingsmill. She played in five events on the Symetra Tour, with a best finish of T-5th at the IOA Golf Classic. She was the silver medalist in the Caribbean Games, finishing second to fellow LPGA player Mariajo Uribe.
In 2015, she is playing the Symetra Tour and won the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women?s Health Classic in May. In eight starts, she has made seven cuts and has two top-10 finishes. On the LPGA Tour, she has only made one cut in five events played, T-66th at Kingsmill.

Her coach is Rafael Alarcon, who was also Lorena Ochoa?s instructor.
