Allen Doyle

Defeated Loren Roberts and D.A. Weibring by one stroke to win the 2005 U.S. Senior Open title at NCR C.C. in Kettering, Ohio, and the next year defeated Tom Watson by two strokes at Prairie Dunes C.C. in Hutchinson, Kan., to claim the 2006 title. With his win at the 2006 U.S. Senior Open, became only the third repeat winner of the championship and its oldest winner at 58 years old.
Was an amateur until he was almost 50. Was a member of the 1991 and 1993 USA Walker Cup Teams and represented the United States on three World Amateur Cup teams. Was a semifinalist at the 1992 U.S. Amateur, losing to Justin Leonard, who won the championship.
After turning professional in 1995 joined the Web.Com Tour and won three times. In that year was 2nd on the money list getting him his tour card for the PGA Tour in 1996. At the age of 47 he became the PGA Tour's oldest rookie when he played on Tour in 1996 and 1997. Played two years on that tour before joining the PGA Tour Champions in 1998.
In 2012, had ten starts, making the cut in all but one appearance. Had one top-25 finish at the SAS Championship, finishing T25th.
In 2013, had eight starts and made the cut seven times, his best finish a T29th at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf with partner Bruce Vaughan. Has not played in a PGA Tour Champions event since.
2017 Notes: Did team up with Hubert Green to win the over 65, legends division of the Bass Pro Shops Legends. Weather shortened the event to just nine holes.
