Career
In 2004, turned professional in May and began competing on the Futures Tour, where she posted three top- three finishes, placed 13th on the season-ending money list and won the OSTOP Award for the best overall statistics; tied for 32nd at the U.S. Women's Open conducted by the USGA and Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi (as a sponsor's exemption); tied for 65th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines to earn non-exempt status for the 2005 season.
Amateur
Hanna's decorated amateur career includes back-to-back wins at the Oregon High School State Championship (1999, 2000) and three victories in American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events in 1999. In 2003, she won both the Oregon Amateur Stroke and Match Play Championships and was runner-up at the Women's Trans-National Championship. At The Ohio State University, Hanna won the 2003 Big Ten Championship and the Mercedes Championship, was runner-up at the 2004 Big Ten Championship and finished 12th at the 2004 NCAA Women's Championship. She was a three-time All-Big Ten selection (2001, 2003-04) and an NCAA First-Team All-American selection in 2004. That same year, Hanna was named Big Ten Player of the Year and ranked fifth in the nation by Golfweek.
