Angela Park

Started playing golf at the age of 9â?¦Credits God and her parents as the individuals most influencing her careerâ?¦ Park had a decorated amateur career. She won five events on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit and was named a first-team Rolex Junior All-American in both 2004 and 2005. Park played in 29 AJGA events over four seasons and finished in the top 10 in 24 of those starts. In 2005, she was a semi-finalist at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship and won both the Dixie Amateur Championship (which she also won in 2004) and the Junior Orange Bowl. Park competed in the LPGA's 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship and tied for 15th to finish as the low amateur.
* In 2008, matched her career-best tie for second at the Evian Masters, where she lost to Helen Alfredsson in a three-hole, sudden-death playoff with Na Yeon Choi; crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay, where she tied for fifth; carded a career-low 62 in the second round of the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship Presented by John Q. Hammons, where she tied for fourth and carded a Tour season-high 11 sub-pars during the round; recorded four additional top-10 finishes.
* In 2007, earned Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honors on the strength of eight top-10 finishes, including a career-best tie for second at the U.S. Women's Open.
* In 2006, turned professional in April and competed in 16 events on the Duramed Futures Tour, where she recorded a season-best tie for third at the Tucson Duramed FUTURES Golf Classic; tied for fifth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2007 LPGA season.
