Ben Silverman

Silverman was born in Thornhill, Ontario, in Canada, to Howard and Maureen Silverman. He played golf at Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan, Ontario. Silverman attended Johnson & Wales University in Florida for two years, and then Florida Atlantic University, where Silverman obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2010. He was a walk-on on the golf teams of both schools.
Silverman turned pro in 2010. He joined the PGA Tour Canada in 2014. In 2015, he qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour for 2016 via the qualifying tournament, finishing T-14th.
2016 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments Entered - 16; In Money - 5; Top-10 Finishes - 0; Scoring Average - 70.98 (Rank 113th); Money - $23,233 (Rank 131st); Best Finish T-16th at the News Sentinel Open. Returned to Q-School and finished T-6th to retain his Korn Ferry Card for 2017.
2017 Korn Ferry Tour Summary: Tournaments Entered - 22; In Money - 16; Top-10 Finishes - 5; Scoring Average - 69.81 (Rank 22nd); Money - $256,906 (Rank 10th); Best Finish, win Price Cutter Charity. Was 18th in the final priority-ranking order. Secured his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season with a 10th-place finish on the 2017 Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season money list.
2018 Notes: Played in 28 PGA Tour events making 17 cuts with two top-ten finishes. Was 136th in the FedExCup standings. Best finish T-7th in the Sanderson Farms Championship and T-8th at the RSM Classic. Went to the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and earned a T-3rd at the Web.com Tour Championship.
