Blaine McCallister

Started to play golf at age 14, went on to win 1977 Texas State High School Championship... Three-time All-American at University of Houston, roomed with Fred Couples one year and with CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz the other three. Does everything left-handed except playing golf, except he does putt left-handed. Involved with eyesight organizations as a result of his wife, Claudia, suffering from pseudoxanthoma elasticum, a rare eye disease. . .Full-time member of the PGA Tour from 1982, '83, 1986-2004, playing 616 events and making 335 cuts, having 40 top-10 finishes with two runner-up finishes.
Played 19 events in his first full year on the Champions Tour in 2009 and had just one top-20 performance, a T15 at The ACE Group Classic.
In 2010 finished 6th in the Legends Division with teammate Bob Tway in April in Savannah...The pair trailed by just one stroke after 36 holes but slipped back to 6th after a closing-round, 4-under-par 68.
2011 Notes: Seven starts, best finish T39th AT&T Championship.
2012 Notes: Ten starts, best finish T30th 3M Championship. Went to Champions Q-School and finished T25th giving him limited status for 2012.
2013 Notes: Played in ten events, best finish T25th at the Insperity Championship. This time around did not go back to Champions Tour Q-School.
2014 Notes: Again made 10 appearances, including a pair via open qualifying. Posted a T-14th finish at the Encompass Championship, one of five top-25 finishes. Was also T-20th at The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, T-22nd at The Principal Charity Classic and Boeing Classic (open-qualifier), and T-24th at the 3M Championship.
