Brian Stuard

Stuard started playing golf in the eighth grade because he wanted to compete on his high school team. Graduated from Oakland University as the most decorated golfer in the school's history, and was the first player from the school to win the Mid-Continent Conference Championship. Won nine collegiate events, including four each in his junior and senior seasons. Named the 2005 Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year. Spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons on the Hooters Tour before earning conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2008. Finished second on the 2008-2009 Hooters Winter Series Money List after three runner-up finishes.
In 2010, competed on the PGA Tour after earning his card in the 2009 Q-School. Birdied the final two holes in that competition to clinch the position, which he cites as one of his best experiences in golf. Best finish in that season was T-2nd at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Competed on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2011 and 2012, eventually returning to the PGA Tour in 2013. Has competed in 16 PGA Tour events, finishing in the top-25 in five of them. His best finishes were 4th at the Puerto Rico Open and 5th at the Sony Open. When he's not playing golf, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his niece and three nephews.

Finished T-10th the next week at the Humana Challenge and topped that with his best finish, T-4th at Puerto Rico Open. Slowed down a bit in his next 13 events, making only five cuts, but guaranteed his tour card for 2014 when he finished T-6th at the Greenbrier Classic. Played in the first two events of the FedExCup Playoffs and finished the year 92nd in the point standings and 79th in earnings, going over the $1 million mark for the first time in his career.
2014 Notes: Got off to a great start, finishing 2nd at OHL Classic at Mayakoba, then 6th at the Sony Open in Hawaii and 5th at the Humana Challenge. Added another top-5 with a T-5th at the RBC Heritage. He surpassed his money totals from 2013 and despite a slump in which he missed the cut in eight of his last 14 events, he finished 51st in the FedExCup rankings and was 52nd on the money list with $1,852,531 in earnings, his best season to date.
2015 Notes: Played 31 events and made the cut in 17 of them. He produced one top-10, T-10th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship and dropped out of the FedExCup Playoffs (falling from 119th to 128th). Made all four starts in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals but finished T-117th on that money list when he missed the cut in three of them. Had a T-56th result in the Small Business Connection.
2016 Notes: Won for the 1st time on the PGA Tour in his 120th start when he birdied the second playoff hole at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans to defeat Jamie Lovemark. The win was special as he went bogey-free over the 72 holes, joining Lee Trevino as the only players to win with that distinction. Trevino's win also came in New Orleans in 1973. The key to Stuard's win was making 46 of 46 putts from inside 12 feet. It's his only top-10 finish. His next best is T-16th at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. In 20 starts, only registered one top-10 and four top-25s. He finished 60th in the FedExCup rankings and on the money list.

In the FedExCup Playoffs was T-52nd at the Northern Trust.
2020 Notes: Was T-4th at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, three shots back of the Kevin Na/Patrick Cantlay playoff. T-10th at the RSM Classic.
