Chris Riley

Riley's father got him and his brother, Kevin, started in golf. Both brothers played on the Korn Ferry Tour in 1998. Riley was a teammate at UNLV with Chad Campbell and Edward Fryatt. He was also on the American Walker Cup team in 1995. He married LPGA player Michelle Louviere in New Orleans on December 14, 2002. Chris earned his PGA Tour card in 1999 by placing 28th in the '98 PGA Tour qualifying tournament.
Riley played on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2007, '08, and 2012. He played in 43 events, making 20 cuts and nine top-ten finishes. His best result was winning the 2007 Rochester Area Charities Showdown.
Played full-time on the PGA Tour between 1999 and 2012, playing in 346 events, making 217 cuts with 33 top ten finishes. He won the 2002 Reno-Tahoe Open. His best season was 2003, in 29 starts had seven top ten finishes and was runner-up twice (Greater Hartford Open & John Deere Classic). He finished 23rd on the money list with earnings of $2,178,133. After the Vallero Texas Open in 2003, he achieved his highest Official World Golf Ranking of 29th. He was a member of the losing 2004 United States Ryder Cup team.
In 2012, he got tired of the rigors of playing on the PGA Tour and wanted to spend more time with his family. He gave up the PGA Tour and served as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, UNLV. He became a Division I assistant coach between 2015 and 2017. In the summer of 2017, he took the head coaching job at the University of San Diego. In May of 2024, after seven years, USD left to get ready for the PGA Tour Champions Tour. Riley did played in six PGA Championships and was 3rd in 2002 and T-4th in 2004.
2024 Notes: Finished T-51st at the U.S. Senior Open. He missed the cut at the Senior Open Championship. Riley made it to the final stage of PGA Tour Championship Q-School but finished T-53rd.
2025 Notes: The Senior PGA Championship is his first start of the year.
